  • After many failed attempts and the realisation that I really did need to look for a left handed tutorial I think I've mastered single crochet - think I'll leave learning any other stitches for a little while as it was very taxing on my little brain!

Mary so sorry to hear about your back that sound incredibly painful - sending a big hug.

    Laura love the heart.

Wammy - wow your necklace is amazing. Well done. i have ordered some clay and i'm going to try and make hubby a silver keyring for valentines day.

My SIl is due to have a baby girl this week so i have been busy making baby things this week. This is one of the bibs i made for her (instruction on how to make on my homepage its really simple).

EsmerArt Clay Silver low-fire clay can be fired with glass, some stones and sterling silver. You can fire it with a torch, on a gas stove, or in a kiln. Simply shape your piece, leave it to dry, and fire it - and you're left with a pure fine silver piece. The clay can be hallmarked as fine silver at any UK Assay Office. A 7gm package should be enough to make an average sized ring, and maybe a charm or two. Per information on http://www.metalclay.co.uk/products/Art-Clay-Silver-650-Clay-%2d-7gm.html.
Lolalemon – I bought the two kitchen kits from http://www.metalclay.co.uk/products/Kitchen-Kit.html they were only £15.95 each and delivery is free over £30 (otherwise it was only £2). Just went back to get the link and looks like they’ve sold out though, I think the next kit is £39.95. I also bought my mum this book from Amazon to help get her started http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0715327658/ref=oss_product

    Looks good Laura :)

If you fire it by hand using a torch put the wire mesh onto a brick before firing, otherwise you may damage your stove - the metal gets VERY hot!!!
