WOW!! Some fantastic Crafts to be very jealous of here!! :o#
I'm trying so hard to think of what to be able to make... used to be a bit of a card maker, but have given away most of my stuff...now I just have a gazillion rolls of ribbons left.....maybe I can plait a quilt with it....:rotfl:

The hardest pressies to think of are for the men....Next B'Day on my list is Feb - Dad....not sure what to do....he's a golfer....then there is Valentine's Day.....I'm thinking of making a voucher book for Hubby and a "Pot of Love" - taking the idea from a lot of you making the Pots of Gold for Christmas!! so thank you!!

Yes they are a good idea. Last year everytime I made anything for a gift for someone I made soem extras to put away for a stall. I made some scissor holders which when you buy one of those sets of three they fit the middle size (I use these more than any others). I was inteding to buy the scissors to go in them and selling them with the scissors already in but not sure whether it would work out too expensive. Not sure how much they would sell for it they would sell that is. I can get a set of scissors for 99p when they have them in stock so would have the big and small ones left over.

    Afternoon everyone,

Need to keep coming back here to update my new "homemade crafts ideas" notebook! Now have a stock of fantastic ideas for this year's birthdays and Christmas prezzies.

A previous poster mentioned crocheting - does anyone have any experience of this? It is difficult for beginners? Any particularly good links/ youTube videos / magazines or books?

PinkLipgloss I gave crocheting a whirl and ended up in tears I think my hands are back to front and upside down or something. Maybe I'd be better off giving it a whirl after a couple of glasses of vino :) I really want to be able to do it as the results are beautiful - so any handy beginners tips would be very welcome.

    Er... snap. :o

Santa did however bring me a sewing machine and I am determined to learn how to use it properly. I'd love to be able to sew a bag by December 2011, but I'm still trying to adjust the tension, so I think I have a long way to go! :p
