Last year I made hampers filled with freebies from this site and they went down so well that my family are wondering what I am going to do this year. so I had a thought, personalised t-shirts for my family members so I came up with this idea (this ones mine :T)

Just got to get the t-shirts to put them on now

Luckily I double checked where everyone was born as I had no idea one of my nieces was actually born in cyprus!!
    :AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A

Hi thanks for answering me, i have got a tutorial from another poster, just not to sure on what to use to stuff them or where to buy the 'stuffing' from.

When i made sock monkeys i bought cheap pillows and used the stuffing from them. It's cheaper than buying the special stuffing.

pound shop cushions are good filling too! Or buy a cheap teddy from a charity shop, wash it and remove the stuffing, some have the beans in too to weight he toy down - not suitable for little children though!

I'm sure I read somewhere once about someone knitting a jumper for a little boy. On the front it said "Born in the USA" and on the back it said "Made in England".

I love these forums thanks for everyones ideas over the years...just wanted to add my bit having only recently actually registered!

We always do a homemade christmas and never had a complaint, so hopefully I can inspire others with what we have made and if anyone wants photos or more instructions let me know...

    - Wooden Xylophone such as you see in musical sculpture trails
    - Mini wooden reindeer and snowmen (cut from mdf using jigsaw then painted and scarf/hat made of felt added)
    - large reindeer (about 1 metre long!) again mdf and painted (made as 'flatpack' for easy storage)
    - Noticeboard made of corks for winelovers (we found collecting enough corks difficult but shops who offer wine tasting were very helpful!)
    - homemade chocolates (silicon moulds are great!), fudge, scottish tablet, chutney, jam, biscuits and nicely iced christmas cakes go down a treat!
    - Key hangers - made from driftwood and another made sewn felt houses stuffed with cotton wool and stuck on top of a piece of wood painted black to be a road (hooks under road)
    - Slate notice board painted with 'gone to the chalet' but obviously tailor to your own idea!
    - wicker baskets (requires a bit of pre-knowledge and a lot of time tho)
    - Door stops (sewn bags in nice material filled with sand)
    - garden seed markers - wooden and painted with salad or herb names
    - Blackboard for kitchen menu or shopping list etc

They sound fab, shame being a newbie that you cannot add picks or links!!

You can however add a homepage (on the left under your name) if you have a blog or open a photo-sharing account
