Morning All,
Long lie for me this mornini, but I've been arguing with OH already, I too am one needing him out from under my feet, soon! DS1 is still poorly with the cold, but the rest of us are recovering well.Rain here too.
Plan for the day is shoppingI don't want or need anything, but OH and the boys have Christmas money burning holes.:rotfl: The boys have Game vouchers and HMV vouchers, and OH got money from his mother and wants to buy some new clothes, then we're off to the cinema to see Gulliver's Travels I think. Wanted to do that tomorrow, but OH is meant to be having his Christmas night out with the boys, although they have all been slow to agree, I think they're all feeling the pinch as much as us, but male pride stops them from saying so. Silly. OH however has been putting a fiver in a pot for a while every week to fund it, as he doesn't really go out drinking, and looks forward to it every year. We'll see what happens.
Dinner tonight will be pasties, I will do turkey ones for the boys and curried veg for me I think, they had curry last night, and I had bubble and squeak from the Christmas leftovers. DS2 it getting a bit fed up with turkey I think, but there's not much left now :rotfl: I have some double cream which wasn't used and think I will make butter with that, and then make some tablet for the boys. Diet starts here next weekLets all egg each other on again like we did last year, that really helped me before I became ill and gave up.:)
Bitsy feel well soon. xxx

Hi folks,
It rained hard last night, still doing a bit,but its not washed all the snow away, its all horrible and slushy.Much warmer though,DH lit the logburner last night and I had to shed a layer of clothes I was so hot.He has gone to work, but left DS2 to have a day off.DS1 stayed at a friends last night and isnt back.
DH didnt want turkey again yesterday apart from a lunchtime sandwich,so I've frozen 2 lots in gravy, and made soup,so I've got space in the fridge now:j
BIL and DNs are coming for a buffet lunch tomorrow,so I'm going to make either a cheesecake or a trifle, not sure yet.BIL is bringing his new OH,but she doesnt eat much apparently (wish I was one of those people...)
Finding homes for all my pressies and having a good tidy round now,but another cuppa first.
Bitsy- hope you feel better soon.xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Washing is nearly back under control but i suppose i should do some ironing

Morning All
Quite peaceful here - DH was late in from work and stayed on the sofa as DD had crawled into bed with me so we stayed in bed until 10 this morning just relaxing and watching tv so a nice slow start to the day.
My living room is a disgrace but I haven;t had the energy or inclination to do anything about it! Kitchen is also in a sorry state as I have done nothing since Christmas day
DS1 and 2 have succumed to the flu so have been dosed up with paracetemol and told to rest. Nasty bug - DS1 was being sick this morning (I wasn't sick I just felt queasy but I didnt eat anything for a few days which is probably why)
Kids are due back from their mums today - the deal is we get them there and she gets them hope (usually her mum and dad) but DH said last night that she'd been on the phone to say she couldnt get them home. Annoys me a bit that I'll have to go and fetch them now.
Going to start the day with some coffee and toast and go from there. Have a good day xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Morning all! I can't wait to get back to London and back on the OS band waggon! The snow's all gone down there but is only just starting to melt in south brum and it's a pain to get around. I'm considering writing a nice angry letter/essay about how they left my area without public transport for over a week and did not grit or plough despite almost 50% of people in the area relying on public transport to get to work(much higher than most of the country/city), lots of people with long term mobility illness and a lot of eldery people yes i will heavily reference the 2001 census and surveys grrr
I think i've decided I want to my dissertation/project on something along these lines, public transport.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Morning all
Belated Seasons Greetings to all.
I havent been on here since before Christmas as things have been really manic here. But last lot of visitors have gone now, last mega meal was cooked last night and it is now time to start to use up all the leftovers. Cooked a lovely piece of beef last night, got it half price in Sainsburys and it was fab, loads left too so we shall be having it over the next few days.
Hope everyone had a good time, I am exhausted today but a few of us are going out for a curry tonight so no cooking at all thank goodness, I feel as though I have been permanently in the kitchen!
Just been doing the clearing away from last night, but now chilling with a coffee and dont intend moving for a couple of hours!!!!
Have a good day all"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D

hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I am still so ill. Had terrible cold sweats all yesterday. Not eaten since boxing day, just can't do it, I start to feel sick.
Need to tidy the house today and soak some lentils for some soup.
Not sure what to cook OH for dinner, maybe do a curry and freeze the left overs.
