Good morning
Bitsy go and get a duvet and get on the sofa.
I made butter from some double cream yesterday, with the help of the house elf, just to prove that it can be done. He was very interested.
Today I will be ironing, taking the christmas tree down and generally tidying up. The cats only knocked the tree over once..... All left over turkey has been portioned up and frozen, so it's lamb stew, mashed potato and veg for the elf and I tonight. Our snow has gone, so I think a walk may be in order to take some of the bounce out of the elf. I bought him a child's camera for christmas, so he's keeping a photo diary (oh joy). He can take some photos for that.
Take care all of you.0 -
Morning all
I was up at 2am but decided that it was a bit too early to start the daily.
Yesterday went well, all the food was either eaten or taken home by the family, all the children were fantastic, 2 of the FC don't talk properly, having been ignored for so long, so a lot of effort & encouragement is needed, the only word that really stumped me was 'tomato' but I got there in the end. The DGC seem to understand them perfectly & so they all play together beautifully.
Todays plans include more sewing as I have decided to reopen my Folksy shop, a brisk walk before I forget how & a sticker hunt, after yesterday I am still finding them.
DW has been on & emptied, WM is on & washing will go over the rads to dry as there is only a half load.
Gers, I'm with you re chocolate, I cannot leave the damn stuff alone.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

morning all!
not long got up:D well it is my day off and I've got a cold. House is in need of a good tidy and clean - both DSs still in bed, DH at work although both DSs are working this afternoon. They are better off in bed out from under my feet when I'm cleaning!:D
Raining here too.
Have started a major declutter of my wardrobe - 2 huge bags so far and not touched the chest of drawers yet. Want to declutter the whole house in preparartion for soem decorating when the weather is better.
Tea will be a turker dinner - only had 1 so far, I've got cauli, leek and broccoli in cheese sauce.
I got on the scales and it wasn't as bad as I'd thought:j DH has taken all the sweets up the pigeon loft to keep them out of my hands:D I'm ok if I cant see them! Still got M & S shortbread, chrismas cake and Tyrells crisps to get through yet though.
Plans for today are
housework
take DS to work
visit Mum or get her to come here
walk dogs
watch Miss Marple from last night
Bitsy - hope you're soon better, Molly and Pollys - hope you're taking it easy x
take care all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Good morning.
It's wet and warm here, weather wise. We were expecting snow but got rain instead.
The kitchen tidy up hit a few snags yesterday. We got some shelves from B& and as soon as we tried to put them up the supports broke - held together with a couple of staples. Don't know what they expected you to put on them - feathers I think.
I did sort out a couple of cupboards. Went shopping at Morrisons and got some boxes to sort stuff out in, so it all looks like a bombs hit it at the moment, but I have faith that it will look much better at the end of today.
Got some new baking trays in the Morrisons Jan Sale aisle - Swan make, including a roaster. Used it to cook the reduced turkey I got on Boxing Day with some reduced casserole mix. Very nice, and worked well.
Hope all your plans go well today. My days off are rapidly fading. Back at work on Thursday.0 -

I've only just woke up but I was awake for 90mins in the early hours so it wasn't a good sleep. Raining here too. It looks so sad without the snow
. It was weird to hear the rain last night though!
Bitsy - hope you feel better soon
Sunnyday - your curry sounds yummy. Very positive about this moneysaving and all the new challenges that I am going to do next year - just want to get started - how sad is that!!!!!
Suzybloo - I'm the same, can't wait to get started on sorting out the Moneysaving and OS stuff I want to do next year :rotfl: that'll be my job tomorrow I think.Essex-girl wrote: »Have not yet looked at Lakeland, may have a quick peep today.
Essex-girl - Don't look, don't look!!! :rotfl: (I'm going to look today too)
Today I am going to my parents for lunch with my brother. He wasn't here Xmas Day so we having our family lunch today. I have no plans for tonight, think I'll just tidy round and sort stuff out.
OS wise - DW went on overnight, WM is on now. I have a huge pile of stuff to go to the recycling centre, and in the bins outside, but due to the weather I've not been able to take them, so will do bin stuff here today and tip tomorrow.
I want to eat up all the crap in the fridge today and start my diet tomorrow, despite the fact that I'm going out for food Thurs night, I just can't do it any more!
Have a fab day all
