Part of the Furniture 500 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
I would replace all engine mounts, not just the failed one.

Have they definitely used the right part? Have they installed it correctly...in my car there are 5 parts to each mount which have to be assembled in a certain way.

Was the engine carrier damaged when the mount failed?

    So many possibilities!

Mine had the bushes done at 16,700 miles :eek::eek:

Only problem I currently have is that the gas tailgate struts are broken, I assume with the cold weather.

I only paid £1500 quid for it so i can't complain.

drivers lovely bar the little clonking over rough ground which is the rear bushes.

Also im going to change the inner tie rod and track road arm as i had a look last weekend and can feel movement in the ball joint. It makes the car wander slightly. Will get new tyres and tracking done after

Least it's cheap to run, i get nearly 600 miles to a tank

If you say so, I still would not touch a Renault with a barge pole.

I do live in a village with a Renault Main Dealer Service department just up the road, so I get to hear all of the horror stories first hand from the mechanics.

I also see the breakdown truck go past my window with broken down Renaults on board, on a very regular basis.

I can only go with my own and my immediate families experience, which so far has been absolutely fine, touch wood. Maybe it's because I look after any car I own?
The 55plate megane estate I've had for 4 years or so has been fine apart from a few odd jobs done under waranty. I must admit I was troubled by all the hype about reliability issues, infact I still am, but after over 20 years of nothing but VX cars, I wanted a change and also my 1st diesel. Would I buy another, I'm not sure, but only because of the reputation rather my experience.

OP, glad it actually was simple :T
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
