I will be having a look. Just moved into a house with a huge wilderness of a garden. Nothing seems to be in it but remains of some trees the Housing Association have started to remove. I havent been to the top of the garden yet. Because of the snow, and my health problems, but I think its around 120ft of garden to turn into a garden/veg plot/childrens play area/patio area, and Ineed to get EVERYTHING.
I also need a shed! Gulp.
Poundland for the odds and sods will really help me.!

  • I agree, Poundland cannot be beaten for those gardening on a budget. Also worth a mention is Poundstretcher (aka In-Store) excellent prices on gardening sundries, ie pots, tubs, tools, garden ornaments, etc.

I did notice the seed potatoes had got a lot less in them than they did last year. I think it's now down to 6 spuds. One way of keeping the price to £1.

I suppose we ought to price the spuds in a couple of places to see if its still value then. I just planted my potatoes that started to root, and they gave me a few "free" spud plants last year.:D

  • I must admit I will be grabbing some early spuds to put in large pots in the conservatory for early ones. They might be a bit pricey but they are a treat.

    I do.
Let them bud with a few sprouts, then choose the healthiest looking bud/root, and remove the rest and plant them up.
Professional gardeners may come along and let you know if there is anything else you need to do to make them grow better, but I always get spuds from mine. :D

Does anyone know if they have and rocket spuds in poundland? They are brilliant and even got some before the first frosts after planting in August this year. Will grab them if they do!

They certainly sold Rocket last year 'cos I bought some! Not had chance to go in since Christmas to see what gardening supplies they have in this time.
