  • Hi maman - yes the mess she left him with is terrible and is just the tip of the iceberg :mad:
There are lots of free, fun things you can get up to!;):rotfl:

I agree...............things have been a lot more fun recently :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Its a really quiet day at work today, I can't remember NYE being so quiet.

Lets hope for a busier 2011!

My resolutions for the new year are simple.

    Keep my spending under control.
    Save money wherever I can.
    Lose weight (I know......that one again! :o)
Make a happy new home for me and the boys.
Stop worrying about things that aren't worth worrying about.
    Just be me

Had an unpleasant surprise this morning. Totally forgot about my ebay selling fees, so that was another £25 out of the bank that I hadn't budgeted for (oops!).

Looking forward to tonight. Haven't been out for a while. The £30 is still in my purse, but somehow, I don't think it'll be there in the morning :D

I probably won't be back again this year :D so I'd just like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and thanks for all the kind words. I'm not very confident about commenting on other people's diaries, but am here to help if anyone needs anything :)

Here's to 2011................can't wait to get cracking.

  • Happy New Year

The diet begins today. So far been a good girl, had muesli for brekkie and a roast dinner. Been able to resist the wine bottle and the Maltesers so far, but can't promise how long that'll last ;)

When I've worked out how many lbs I need to lose I'll amend my signature and set myself little goals along the way so as not to overwhelm myself.

We had a lovely evening last night, but ate a little bit too much. Wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be, we spent £20 each.......................so not too bad. I still have £10 in my purse :T

Had a good week on ebay this week. Sold a few more bits today amounting to £62. I'm rapidly running out of things to sell (something I thought I'd never say!!) till H stops being an a**e and lets me have the rest of my stuff

Lots of inspiring new diaries to read here today. I wish we could bottle up some of that positivity and bring it out whenever we need that little push to get motivated again. We'd be unstoppable! :T

  • Had a brilliant day today. :j
I was feeling really down in the dumps yesterday..........all my clothes felt too tight after all the Christmas eating and I didn't like what I saw in the mirror :(

BF dragged me to the gym with him this morning, I really didn't want to go, but I'm so glad I went, it felt good to start exercising again.

I hope I can keep it up!

The old me would have headed straight to the sales for some retail therapy :o

That was my only spend today. I think I'll pay for a month's membership, that way its cheaper per visit and it means I have to go a few times or I won't get my money's worth :D

  • Thanks weeclick..............have already subscribed to your diary :)

Have to go to work in a moment. I only have to work today, then I have 15 days off. I can't wait, I just wish I had enough money in the bank to just pack a bag and jet off somewhere warm. If I wasn't paying £416 a month on this loan, I'd have plenty spare :mad:

I very nearly gave in to temptation last night on ebay :D I bid on something at £4.99 and immediately regretted it. Just checked now and I've been outbid......Phew!

I have muscles aching today in places I never knew I had muscles.

I'm taking a salad to work today and aiming to make the day a NSD :D

Hope everyone has a good day x

well done for realising that what could have been an impulse buy on ebay wasn't needed and thankfully you dont have to buy it now anyway lol!

Enjoy your time off - Im sure you'll find plenty of fun things to do!

  • Thanks weeclick I'm sure the days will fly past, holidays always do!

Been to see my boys tonight. DS1 is heading back down to Cardiff tomorrow. Probably won't see him again till Easter :(

Its horrible saying goodbye to them, I really hate it :( Can't wait till I move closer to them.

On the plus side, today was a NSD :T

Work was very quiet today, not many people about and definitely not much spending. I have a feeling 2011 is going to be a toughie!

  • Today's been a very lazy day.

My shower stopped working over Christmas, and as my letting agents' office was closed till Tuesday, yesterday was the first chance I got to report it. So I've spent today waiting in for the electrician who never arrived :mad::mad:

BF and I went to the gym again yesterday and enjoyed it so much we decided to pay for a months' membership. I know I shouldn't be spending, but it works out much cheaper if you pay for a month in advance. Plenty of days off this month, so I'll have plenty of opportunities to take advantage of this deal :D

I've spent hours completing surveys today, and have been able to claim my first voucher from Toluna  .

Other than that, not much else to report. Feels like I've wasted a day today waiting for the electrician. I hope he comes tomorrow, or if he can't, at least he could let me know he can't come so I can do something else!

Hope everyone else had a good day x

well done with Toluna :D I only joined there a few days ago already have 13,000 points but still a long way off!! How long did it take you to save up your points? I always feel like im filling in their forms then told right at the end im not suitable so get annoyed after an hour lol!

Can sympathise with the landlord thing - weve had a gas fire not working which was reported when we first move in - we are still waiting for him to call and fix it almost 3 years later! Same with dishwasher that broke in October!

Think you made the right decision with gym though! Im also paying for a monthly membership was meant to do it this week but been ill so going to start next week - works out far cheaper and if you think its money wasted otherwise you will make yourself go just to get your money worth!!
