Kazmeister aw shucks, thanks hon.
I've promised myself no more putting stuff off.
Dusty my wm hasn't been off today so far.
Guttering all done, so no more grass. :j:j
Lunch has been done and dw on, will put a second load in when it's done.
I spent abit of time in the garden aswell, pulled up some carrots that were still there. They were very small, i never seem to be able to grow them at all. So monday i'm gonna completely sort out the veg patch, clear path, weeding and put some muck in.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Jeez - it has taken me from my last post until now to box up 1 tree!
How does everyone else do theirs? Mine [STRIKE]is one[/STRIKE] are ones that you have to slot all the pieces together and 'build'. So when I pack them away I keep all the coloured sections separate then individually wrap each section in a black bag secured with tape and labelled so thats its easier to rebuild next year.
Does everyone else just bung it in a box as my hands are ripped to shreds and I havent even started on the baubles which have to packed into the boxes they came in, then the boxes packed into other boxes with everything colour coded so I know what colour each box is for whatever room I happen to be doing (yes tree colours have to match room colours)
Anyway, away to do more boxing but am gasping again so better grab some juiceMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Kaz mine doesn't go in a box, I have a tree bag (I think I got it from Studio cards) and tree, decorations, lights etc go in there. It's huge. I put all the red/gold decorations in one or 2 carrier bags and silver/White for other tree in another. Tinsel and garlands are wrapped round a piece of cardboard so they don't tangle as are lights without boxes, then placed into a carrier so the tree doesn't catch them. Done! Can't have a real tree now due to the tiny house we now live in so that's probably the way it'll stay for the forseeable.
Decided to do some lazing about/paper work/list writing then shower so I'm off to shower now, bloomin cold in here today what a murky dreich dayOne day I might be more organised...........

Afternoon everyone, hope the first day of your new years is productive and/or restful.:D
Managed to go to the pub for a few shandy's (literally) last night. So we spent an hour or two with DD1 and her friends and then home for midnight with DD2, set off a few fireworks and saw in the new year.
Anyways, today is wierd because its a saturday but everything is closed...managed to get to the chippy though for our brunch..;)
and very nice it was too.
We have the same, murky grey sky and a very energyless feeling. Now the snow has gone, everywhere looks dirty.:(
Anyway, I have a sink full of dirty pots to attend to and a ham in cola to make.
Catch ya later, gators. xDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Afternoon all,
I've been sat here on the verge of tears reading all of those lovely posts. I don't think it helped that I'd just watched Titanic on TV. I can't say it any better than those who've already posted - I count myself truly lucky to belong to a group of such inspiring, kind and supportive ladies - it's true what they say - there is always a flylady for every occasion. Flylady couldn't run so effectively if it wasn't for the huge commitment by pigpen and toots, soappie, and asbotoots, so a great big round of applause and thank you for everything you do!
We had a lovely night last night, with lots of laughter (mainly down to my poor Mum's inability to get the hang of the wii when we did team bowling - they won anyway though lol), fun and eating (although I think I bought too much food as there was lots left over). I was still up flying after the guests left at around 1.30am (cleaning down the worktops, clearing the dining table and living room, and folding and putting away 2 loads of washing that had been in the TD). I finally got to bed around 2am, so I'm still in my nightie. Have been watching films and tv for a while with LBF, as my tummy is very gurgly today despite only having a small glass of champagne last night. Moon and I had the fresh mango for breakfast (I forgot to put it out last night). From the sounds of things he's been outside cutting up more wood for the woodburner, so he's obviously feeling a bit better (he has man flu).
Well I'm off to find some peppermint tea, and maybe eat something light.
Hugs to all who need or want them, and here's to another year of happy flying!

I've finally caught up with the thread and some of your lovely posts from last night made me cry. This really is a very, very special place and I consider myself privileged to be part of it. So thank you to each and every one of you.Craftyscholar wrote: »Not making any specific resolutions, but I am determined not to be sitting here in a year's time muttering that I have wasted the year again.
I've just spent time in the bath, writing a diary entry for New Year's Day 2012, describing the year I would like to have had (if that makes sense). I've still got to go back and add more, but I hope that it will be my guide for the coming year. After over a year on here it's time I started making progress.Dustykitten wrote: »Can't decide whether to risk putting WM on. I will be in a bit, and the TD/DW will be on, too. On that note I'll be off and make a start. x0
