Quillion I'm with the girls (Inc piggers saying he'd be welcome here but I don't know him) get the passport & take him with you, tell his Dad to kiss your a@@ idiot he is
    JulieJ congratulations
Triker ((hugs)) my sis I think had a similar problem, she had her foot broken & reset to sort it which was odd but seemed to work
Kaz I usually go by that with weather too :( I also hope not
Hex pleased it's getting sorted, wise idea getting the clutch done too then you should be set for another 60-80k, you've also made me include starting a 'car pot' again as mines close to needing a few bits

Just getting over the mother of all hang overs so haven't popped in but yesterday I did manage to get the bathroom & kitchen finished. Mum vacuumed through downstairs when I was done & did a quick s&s before bed so just had todays to do. All that is left for an overhaul now is my room :D which I'm considering doing tomorrow. Fingers crossed.......I'd love to have it done before new year is in, start afresh as it were but DP will be in bed until noon I think so will have to see. I might actually start with the kitchen cupboard shift but aware it'll create mess. I need to clear the doodoo but today *bleurgh* not with my self inflicted illness :o

I've just done January budget which includes paying off my CCs I hope!!!! I've only got to April I think to pay them off interest free. Too many snow days and I won't be able to so let's hope for shiney sun
One day I might be more organised...........

    Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Was sitting happily in bed chatting to my man and got up to grab some water from the fridge... found fridge overrun with black dirty little ants... I am horrified!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

I am now sitting in my kitchen, which now looks like a bomb has hit it with my fridge emptied (some things into the bin much to my disgust) I have scrubbed the floor under the fridge to within an inch of its life and hoovered along what i think is the possible area of entry. Now I am on ant patrol. Sat here with a coffee watching the floor like a mad woman. So far there is only one ant I can see which seems to be wandering around aimlessly.

I am torn between squishing him to trigger the attack pheremone and just watching him in case he leads me to the nesting area.

Ooooooooooo he has a friend who came from a different direction... and now there is three...

Come on ants.. show auntie sarah where your little nest is...

    ... I shall update in due course...:o

    Ok... anty update time...

Sat here and the numbers grew and I just couldnt bear it any longer so I have doused the whole area in ant powder. Of course cat food, water, litter tray etc has all been removed. It is an organic pet friendly powder but I didnt want to take the risk.

Every shelf, section and door thingy has been removed from my fridge and washed in lemon washing up liquid (citrus is meant to be a detterent), the fridge itself has also been scrubbed out.

I am now draining the shelves etc and in two minds what to do. Do i refil fridge or not. I guess the things are at less risk in the fridge than on the work surface. They are all sealed/covered or wrapped but I am going to have to check each thing very carefully (again) and re-wrap a lot before returning it.

I am not scared of ants, dont get me wrong they are amazing little creatures but eurgh I have no idea where they have been, what they have walked in etc.. I have had a quick check of the cupboards and they seem free of the little scoundrels.

Ok off to finish fridge and then hit the sack.. so much for an early night!!

Shysarah i'd put all back in the fridge. What a nightmare for you.xx

Toots hope your feeling better soon honey.

Hubby is driving me to insanity tonight. He sleeps with earphones in and listens to his music, i've woken him to tell him to turn them down but he won't. I know who the band is and what flipping song there singing, i can hear it word for word. I've livid, exhaused and sooo p!ssed off.

Spare quilt now on sofa so i'll declutter my cuppa and watch some tv.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Vanilla, maybe sofa will be a better nights sleep for you. My DP is downstairs playing on his ps3 shouting at the TV occasionally with sound up (thankfully the kids sleep through) then he'll come upstairs and put iplayer on. No escape really. I won't argue late on a night so just try to ignore it as he'll only shout if I complain. They're a total pain aren't they, I get so tempted to trip the electric off before he comes in and pretend there is a power cut but I know he'd look.

Anyway done a S&S in bathroom and kitchen :) such a nice feeling that is all it needs ahhhhhh let's see how long I last before it's a tip again. I usually give up once DP starts piling it high with stuff or nobody else pulls their own weight. See how things go. I have remembered I didn't do the window or sill in the bathroom so I will do it tomorrow.

    Right action plan for tomorrow

Make a start on my bedroom
3 laundry loads and put additional one that's upstairs away
    Start the kitchen change round
    Clean bathroom window and sill
Do dunelm list inc 2 blinds, bathroom bin etc
    Finances action plan
S&S bathroom and kitchen before bed
One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me i've thought about pulling the lead out of the PS3 just so i can watch abit of telly, hubby is the same with the shouting (who do they be shouting at). I don't mind music at night but when it's slipknot and his flipping earphones fall out it would put ya mad.

Rigth i'm gonna try and get some sleep.

    Morning All

Hope you managed to get some sleep Vanilla.

Toots - hope you're feeling better this morning.

No plan for today as yet but I have a freegler coming at 11 and DH needs to go to the CS and tip. I want a bath and I have a load of washing and ironing to do but of course the more washing I do the more ironing I create and I'm supposed to have an empty ironing basket by tonight. I also want to strip our bed and DD's.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs
