Skylight - DD is 9 on Sunday - she does tidy it if forced to but all clothes (clean or dirty) go in the wash basket or she puts the dirty clothes in with her clean clothes in her drawers. Everything else gets stuffed in her under the bed drawers or other storage regardless and it needed a good sort out as all her Christmas stuff was piled on her bedroom floor with nowhere to go. She has helped me a bit but the only thing is she's very loathe to get rid of anything so if she isn't there I can just get rid of whatever I want! I'm also sorting all her clothes out and getting rid of a load of them. Note to self - stop buying her clothes just because they're a bargain she doesn't need anymore! Obviously there will be more stuff coming on Sunday so room needs to be found for that too.

Bet you wish you'd never asked now don't you!

Mind you I ended up doing DS's yesterday with very little help from him (he's 7) so she doesn't think she should have to help me either.

I've now got an extra 2 kids here for a couple of hours but their mum's told them they can't go upstairs because I've told her if they mess up the kids' bedrooms they'll be dead meat! Not that DD's room is finished yet.

    Right I'd better crack on.

we went for a sleepover on Christmas day and everything DS took with him went in the wash basket - including the still neatly folded and clearly unworn stuff. So it was popped back in his drawers promptly! And HE's 17

Love the threat JJ! (dead meat!)

I have washed my towels, they're in the TD now. DS's pal was despatched upstairs to examine my bathroom yesterday and pronounced it 'well nice' - and it's not finished yet!

Forgot to say I have washed out my wheelie bin - I worked wheelie hard and it's wheelie clean now:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

eta (((HUGS))) Mummyoffive - typical 'ostrich' behaviour from your OH there! Just not helpful, is it?

Dusty i have a list for next year and i'm really looking forward to it. I just hope i see it through. I want to learn knitting, improve on cooking, loss weight, quit smoking, get the back garden done and have more time doing things i enjoy and less time spent running around after others. :D

Excellent you've got the idea all ready. I'm glad so many of you want to join me, remember it is to include nice things you want to do and not just e another list of DIY, decluttering etc (gardening is allowed if you love to garden :D)

Our new niece arrived early on Christmas day which was very exciting and I am off to a children's birthday party shortly with DS2, the second of the week. Spring time really does have a lot to answer for!

Congratulations I hope mum and baby are doing well

I've done really well with tidying and cleaning so far today. Just digesting my early lunch and then another HHC should see what I wanted to to achieve done.

I wanted to hoover on top of the wardrobe whilst it is empty and stash the wrapping paper for next year up there out of the way. Need to see if DS1 wants to go shopping or not, guessing not as I'm not sure he is out of bed yet. So I might go and do a food shop and pop into town.

Bloody UPS:mad: Waiting on my bag being delivered, saw a UPS van drive past my flat and the driver looked in our direction while sitting in traffic. I then checked my tracking info and it said customer not in on 1st attempt a 2nd attempt will be made with tomorrows date:mad: Phoned them and the girl basically said 'what do you want me to do about it?' Erm, how about phone the driver to get it sorted! Oh i can't do that.

Phoned them back and spoke to someone helpful who is trying to sort it out. I wouldn't mind so much but i'm not going to be in for most of tomorrow and i have waited in today specifically for it. Grrrr.

Need to have a word with my DH, he has a lump and has had pain for ages in his groin but will go to the doctors 'when he gets round to it' Don't want to annoy him by nagging as he is as stubborn as i am and will dig his heels in but i'm worried about him:(

My stepdad has a large varicose vein into his scrotum (he'd love me telling you that lol) which he put off taking to quack as he thought it was cancer.. it is really painful apparently whereas cancers are usually not painful at all.. if that makes him feel better.

Whoo-hoo stomach is feeling a bit better :) That is the only thing that is 'nice' about feeling ill is the renewed energy of feeling better :)
