Good luck, because I think you are going to need it.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Thanks I know it will be hard, but i can't just let it go i have to try.....they must have a record of it being returned, even on the side of the box it says "Do not open until Purchased" even if i opened it in the car after purchasing it i would still be in the same boat.
Digusted is an understatement0 -
I think you will have a long wait in Currys.
Husband in tow or not.0 -

Doesn't the shop have to accept that faults are inherent for the first 6 months?
If you have no luck with the store try trading standards as they may be able to help as the shop is refusing to take responsibility.
Did you buy it on with a credit card and did it cost £100 or more as if it did then your credit card co will be jointly liable.0 -

There is no "fault" it is the wrong thing in the box apparently.0 -

Apparently yes.
As far as Currys is concerned you will need to establish that it was not you who swapped it.
I think you will need to take it higher than anyone in the shop can action.0 -
If they don't accept your version of events I'd insist in a rather loud fashion that the manager calls the police because they're effectively accusing you of fraud. Then let everyone in the store know what's happening whilst you're waiting (I very much doubt he'll call) Someone swapped the items, they're saying it's you. I'd be kicking up such a shytstorn as a matter of principle, prove it's you and prosecute or refund, simples.
I would doubt they would prosecute, but they may call the cops to have the customer ejected from their store.
Who knows?0
