  • You stitch 28ct evenweave over 2 holes, and it's the same as 14ct :) x

    What are you making?

Sorry can't help you out on this.

But speaking of the World of Cross Stitching, I posted a few days ago about how I subscribed because of the Free Coronation Street kit, however, when the kit came it was a winter scene.
So I popped off an e-mail to them.
I had thought they weren't going to reply as they said there should be a reply within 2 days, however, I have just checked my e-mail and there was a reply saying they had checked my subscription details, which were all correct and wasn't sure why I had got the wrong kit, so she said that a replacement kit has been allocated to me and will be with me within 28 days, so that's all good.

She didn't, however, give me an address to send back this rubbish winter scene, maybe they will included a pre-paid envelope with the Corrie kit if not, I just scored an extra kit lol

Just hope it's the RIGHT kit that comes this time lol

Plus it gives me time to get this scarf finished while I wait for Corrie to come lol

I subscribed and got the free corrie kit it's lovely.

When i subscribed a couple of years ago i got the wrong subs gift and they sent the right one and told me to keep the other as an apology.

    last home sweet home :)

Aida = one hole up and one hole across

Evenweave = two holes up and two holes across

    That's how it works :)

ps there has been some talk of what you prefer to stitch with - anchor or dmc - I like both and buy both ! I find anchor softer but also like dmc.

    DMC all the way! :T

Up quite late for me - we watched 'Silent Hill'.... I was getting on great with the stitching until about half an hour from the end where I got a bit engrossed

Wish I hadn't bothered though - it had one of those miserable depressing endings that make you wish you hadn't wasted two and a half flipping hours :o:rotfl:

I watched When Harry met Sally on Sky Classics ? last night. I don't remember seeing this film before - have seen a clip of that famous scene in one of those movie countdown things :rotfl:

I sat with my stitching for the most part but was fighting the battle of being tired and wanting to stitch but not wanting to make mistakes that I would look at this morning and think how on earth did I do that ???

I enjoyed the film and found "that scene" very funny especially when afterwards, she just carries on as normal!!! but it didn't make me go "wow" and I do wonder why people make such a fuss about the film ? may be if I hadn't been doing my stitching and had been paying proper attention then I might have enjoyed it more. Sorry to go off topic.

in stitching news, its my stitching day today :j so I shall be finishing this Fatal Error Cat Kit and then working out what I want to do next. This might be the fizzy moon kit I got free with World of Cross Stitch mag or another cute valentine design I have from years back.

    Happy stitching day all :D
  • i think i've watched when harry met sally, and i didn't think it was that brill either! guess i better make hubby a valentines day card shouldn't i!!!

  • That looks a nice little kit Flat Eric, good luck with it;)
  • I watched The Devil Wears Prada last night while stitching.

My hubby doesn't watch much tv, prefers his PS3, but when we do settle down to watch a film together he hates me stitching at the same time....thinks I can't be watching the telly properly if I am stitching...lol
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

Got the Tigger one to do and I know it's got a bit that's wrong (whichiswhy it got put down in the first place), so I've got to find that first and unpick as required.
