    Hi,

Was just wondering if anyone has done any 'stitchmodelling'? (Stitching the samples for designers shows, etc...). Have been offered the opportunity but wondering if anyone knows what the money is like?

Hope you're all having good stitching days - not done much this weekend as I'm waiting for the threads for my kingfisher.

Well I've had a lovely weekend - it was DH's brother's stag do in Leeds yesterday starting off at the Leeds Utd match and then for a night out. DS1 also went to the Leeds match and then spent the night at his grandparents so I've been at home all weekend with DS2, but even he has gone to a birthday party this afternoon so a whole 2 hours to myself :D

I would have stitched but did quite a bit last night and needed to get the ironing done. However, my evening is now free for more stiching. DH and DS1 are staying up north for tea and probably won't be home till about 8pm.

I also know I'm getting old - there wasn't much on telly earlier so thought I'd watch the UK Top 40 show on one of the music channels. After 2 songs I'd had enough and found "Every No.1 of the 80s" on Magic which is much better :rotfl:

ejs2311 - never heard of stitchmodelling but sounds really interesting - how did you get involved??

I done stitching for this book..
    http://www.ikon-gallery.co.uk/online_shop/books/fashion_and_craft/item/manga_cross_stitch/

I didn't get paid a lot but found out after that the average rate is 1p per stitch. To be honest for this book I got between £10 and £40 a design, but didn't mind as it was a friend of mine from another forum.
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

That book looks cool - my OH is even interested! Suppose even though it doesn't sound a lot it's something I love doing and it'll be nice to get to stitch new designs without having to buy them or work out who to give them to when they're done!

t4mof - I just emailed a few places and asked if they wanted any stitchers. Had to scan back and front of a piece of work to them and they're happy to give me a go.

    :) xx

yayay fantastic!! they'll prob let you keep the other kit.
I subscribed and got the free corrie kit it's lovely.

When i subscribed a couple of years ago i got the wrong subs gift and they sent the right one and told me to keep the other as an apology.

    Thank you :)
It would be great if they did let me keep it, although it's not my cup of tea, I could always put it on e-bay during a free listings days and use the cash to buy some threads, so all in all a great deal :T

Got really into stitching Princess Palace today & have hardly put it down. Won't post a pic yet as it was only a few days ago that I posted weeks 1 & 2 so I'll wait til late in the week. My wrist hurts from holding the frame for too long though. Must did out that glove thing I've got somewhere. Might help support it a bit.

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A
  • Tigger's mine though after having to unpick 2/3rds of what I'd stitched, maybe not so much now... :p

Well it's ready for me to pick it up again next time I'm away from home.

Didn't start any today, too fed up with the unlocking, so finished off Prof. Layton. :)

Back to my official project tomorrow night. :D
