  • I also want to ask a favour, somehow I missed the last issue of WOXS, 179. Can someone have a look and see what flower of the month was, around page 80. If its one I need I can order a back copy, I don't want to order it if I don't need it iyswim. Many thanks :j

Sorry PAP thought I might be able to help but the first one I got in my 5 for £5 was no 180 :(

Good luck with your little reindeer. Love your London one - it is the one with Picadilly Circus if I remember it right. I might treat myself one of these days. I doesn't have a lot of colour but I think it uses an awful lot of different shades.

:j:j On last page of backstitching :j:j I'm on a mission to finish it over the weekend.

    Love your butterflies TMIF :T

Will catch up with you all later

Hi PAP - I think you meant 180 but

    179 = Gladiolus
180 = Aster/Michaelmas Daisy (which I REALLY like and will be
    stitching at some point!)
    181 will = Marigold

BED, thanks anyways. Yes the Picadilly design, I liked the big ben one but the bus looked 'wrong' to me. The Picadilly uses 44 colours and I think only 5 of those are red

Mmm I just purchased 180 and thats the aster, Blue daisy thing. It must be 179, the Gladiolus (it has Somebunny on the cover). In which case I don't need it so will save £5 :T

    Thanks Observer :D

I'm seeing some friends soon (next week in fact). I was planning on stitching a new baby card but the baby was born in April and so to give them a new baby card now would seem a bit silly especially as I haven't even started stitching it yet!

I would still like to stitch them something so was thinking perhaps a christmas card along the lines of baby's first christmas ? that was one idea anyway - or I was thinking of stitching a christening card. but re christening cards, sew n so had a about five cards to pick from, none of which I liked. I like the idea of baby's first xmas but think I would have to adapt a design because I haven't seen anything suitable yet.

Does anyone have any ideas for either project ?

and if you speak welsh, please let me know :T

could you stitch one with a baby picture on and perhaps sew the words "hello baby" on it?? ....a hello baby card....

You could do a basic 5 x 7 pic, frame it and birth sampler it.

I still have the cabbage patch chart if you want a ;);) but unless you go flat out you may struggle to get it done in a week.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Went to Hobbycraft today to get one thread for chapel stitching that I have lost somewhere. Definitely think they are having problems as they were selling off loads of stuff that I have never seen reduced before, eg big sewing boxes (very tempted), a load of wargaming stuff (dh's birthday sorted) and random other things. They were handing out vouchers for £5 off £25 spend when you sign up to their emails and when I told the lady I was already signed up she said well tell all your family to use their email addresses as well, we've been told to tell everyone! Voucher is printable and then redeemable in store or online...that and the posts here recently did make me wonder, but then again they were playing dire music so it might have been that making me feel as if the place was gloomy:p
