I would love that DMC box that someone else was thinking of (sorry can't remember who) What do you think?
I think in this case I would never advocate using it to clear a debt. You should treat yourself to the box and you will think of your friend every time you see it xx
...you got me eyeing them up now as well....;)But, but, but, it's soooooo cheap, so I'm forgiven right??
hehe
I've just caught up on the last 3 or 4 days worth of posts as I have been in bed sick for 4 days, really awful sore throat adn bad headache, so I haven't done any stitching recently either.
I did make a framin' card for my cousin who gave birth to her second baby yesterday, so I just need to add some ribbon before I send it off to welcome baby Lizzie to the family :T
Right, I'm off back to bed, done well today, been up since 1pm :rotfl:
Also, another thing, my Mum and Step-Dad had a bench installed at the Church where Steven is, with a lovely plaque, and on Sunday they were invited to the church for the blessing of the bench. Mum said it was emotional but a good service.
I definitely forgive youDo you have a piccy of your baby card?
What a lovely idea to have a bench and blessing for your brother.:A

*Louise* I looked at that one but I think I will go for the 'best value one' at £99 and have one drawer done for bobbins at £9.50. I'll wait for the money to come through and decide. x8 years of being on a DMP finished 3/3/140

!!!!!!??? No wonder you haven't spoken to her
...
Never think your problems are any less important because they seem 'smaller'....Sometimes the littlest things in life are the hardest to take. You can sit on a mountain more comfortably than on a tack. .

thanks. i've told a couple of friends and they cant see that she's being any worse than normal! for no reason we can fathom, she blanked my OHs mother the other month... actually sat next to her at dinner, but turned sideways in the seat!
oh yeah, i'm getting support from my OH in not talking to her. mostly because he is "the devil incarnate". yep, you heard me right, that's what she has called him. (he works hard, he doesn't drink much, he is social and friendly, he phones his mum on sundays... he's really not perfect, doesnt clean the bathroom, he can be increadably selfish, and his social life comes before everything, but he is my best friend and he does more around the house than my father does!) humm, maybe that's part of it!
i'd love to ring dad and say hi and ask for Val's adress, but i know she'd probably answer. he hates us rowing too, so i dont know if i'd actually get a nice response. she's been aweful to him also (eg banning his best/only friend coming round). families eh? wish you could pick them!I third the previous two comments Louise, totally justified not talking to her.
Regarding the grouping of threads, I used to keep them in one of those plastic 4-drawer chests in colour groups but I could never find them. I have, however, printed off one of the conversion charts and marked off which numbers I have and whether I've got the Anchor/DMC equivalent. OCD? Yes I am
ooh, i like the idea of doing that! i might just have to do it. i want to make a tread order with ATStiching with that code, so should plan what i do have against what i need for my next few projects, shouldnt i?trying_hard wrote: »*Louise* I looked at that one but I think I will go for the 'best value one' at £99 and have one drawer done for bobbins at £9.50. they are really nice. i think it would make a wonderful heirloom and inheritance from your friend. busting debt is important, but so is marking the important things in life.
and that's the one'd go for too...
humm, Chicky... fancy giving them advertising posts on the MSE FB Cafe in exchange for a discount code!;)Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Chucking it down here
Wouldn't be so bad if I could stay home and craft but got 3 hours of being on the bus to get DS1 to the hospital and back. Waiting to hear from my mum if she can take the two wee ones, save traipsing them all with me lol.

Its been raining here too but sadly I'm stuck in the office until later
I am debating whether to run this evening (new hobby!) but if I do, by the time I have showered etc and eaten tea, its gone 9pm and that means very little time for stitching.
managing a few stitches now but trouble is, I get into it and don't want to go back to office stuff.
I'm sending lots of hugs :grouphug: because its been horrible in the news this last week.
Has anyone received/bought new issue of cross stitcher ? I am thinking of stitching the Margaret Sherry frog design. I think its on page 73 or 74 (can't remember, mag is at home). Now first of all, it is a frog and not a toad ? (daft I know but it has to be a frog) and secondly, where do you think I should start stitching ? Because they have put four designs on the same page, its not clear where the centre point is but I was thinking somewhere near where the frog's hands are (all the pink stitching of his belly). I am planning on stitching on 16 count aida (that will be fun with the fractionals!!!) I don't know what size he is going to turn out but i'm hoping he will fit into a coaster :j0
