Re bobbins - I thought I was the only one to use them I find winding them is very therapeutic. Do those of you who do this store them in number order or colour groups (I've got boxes for reds, blues, neutrals etc).
Number order - much easier to find what I need.
I quite like winding them tbh, as you say it's very therapeutic
Hope everyone who is living close to riots or has family trying to help is okay (((hugs))) Shocking the extent of it, mindless thuggery :mad:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. *Sigh*
Just can't get into this Corrie stitching at all
Grid lines too faint, and I realised when I was looking at the backstitch that it's all 'between the holes' I should have checked sooner, I would have used evenweave instead of the aida that was supplied.
I'd rather be doing all the blue stitching in Touched by Magic lolCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Hope everyone is safe? I just can't get my head around these riots. I live in a little rural market 'town'. But work in the county town... There were so many police on the market square yesterday lunchtime, and 3 police vans went by my work place. Very odd atmosphere. People were talking about planned riots in town and the next town along.
The police were there to provide a reassuring presence apparently, but really it made people more worried.
Well done on those fab finishes!
I'm facing a dilemma on wether to work sat. I do have morning plans but the extra hours TOIL would be good. Argh!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Morning all!
Slept like a log (appart from the abligatory let the bf out at 4 am) and only just work up....
Ebay person has replied, supper apologetic, believes its a packing issue which they are looking into, "martin" has personally handled my second set (I'm hoping he didnt realise that this list of shades he sent me for the second one means it should contain 52 skeins not 50) and as soon as I send back the first lot they will send me out the RIGHT package refunding all p&p costs for all the items.
yay yay yay.....
but with all this talk of bobbins is making me consider them for tidy's sake... at the moment my skiens are kept in those little plastic banking bags in a wicker draw thing...
oh what to work on now.... flowers and butterflys? or teddys drinking tea... hmmm tea.... thats what I'lll do.... have some tea

Oh I don't like those bobbins - I keep mine in a box... and (for me) part of the fun of a new project is poking through the box to see what I have. Sad. Ok. Sorry!0
