    Raining here too but I have DD jumping around so no stitching for me until she has gone to bed this evening. I have now set up the stand and the frame and it is wonderful. Also I am training my left hand to stitch with and even than it is slow going my left is starting to get the hang of it.

    Perhaps I should start the Wren to do when I a) am out and about b) want to stich in the conservatory and don't want to drag the stand there.

    raining here too and the house is soo humid, however i know as soon as i open a window we will freeze.

    Just put ds1 to bed as his winging was driving me mad (sure i can hear him banging around tho). tiny isn't feeling well and although slept fine in his cot 6pm-11pm (exhaustion from screaming at me for 12 hours) he refused to go back down at midnight. ended up sleeping on the sofa with him asleep in his bouncy chair. today is looking a little better.

    i keep meaning to say i saw all the christmas mouseloft kits in hobbycraft last week and thought it was farrrr to early. however it now dawns on me tis getting closer. I WILL choose a big winter project this year which means i need to get all my pressie charts sorted and stitched. think princess palace will take a back burner (tho not completly) and be for neices birthday next april instead of christmas.

    i have got to have a hugeeee tidy/ clean today as have a party (for noah's birth as the boys havn't been christened) with some uni friends tomorrow. looking at the weather its a good job i choose pizza and party food over a bbq. gonna be a nightmare if we're cooped up in the house tho its not that big. think toys may need to go up in rooms for a couple of nights.

    good news on the treatment sweetcarer.

    that was quick stitching maria.

    thanks ailsb got my email this morning. annoyingly i paid to list most stuff (and sold maority of it) the other week....hopefully someone is coming over this afternoon for something (3rd time we've rearranged begining to annoy me now). wish i could remember where i put the duplicate puddle lane books i wanted to list tho had them in my hand 3 days ago.

    does anyone have children/ neices into the sweet valley (twins/ high/ university) or babysitters club books? or who likes ballet? have a few that aren't really selable (ex-library) but my boys will never read so happy to pass on for postage costs. don't want to offer on my local freegle too many timewasters (see my post about the woman who has asked for a picture of my empty cardboard box so she can decide if interested).
    loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    It doesn't take too long and then it's second nature. Although, having said that, I'm naturally left-handed but I was taught to write with my right, and I use my left hand for most other things.

    I found this last night! What do you think?

    Xmas card

    I think it is a really lovely simple design that looks very effective.

    what is everyone's stitching plans for today ?

    I thin it's a lovely design - quite expensive though, but if you're going to do a few cards of that design then worth it in the end :D

    My plans for today are quite simple. It's raining on and off so the kids have voted for a pyjama day so we are all staying in and putting DVD's on :D (I'm not in pyjamas lol, I don't feel comfortable unless I'm dressed)

    So will get on with 'Little Princess sleeps here' started it on Thurs night and it's more than half done. Trying to get it completed and made up into a pillow before DD's 4th birthday on 26th July.

    Got some better news about my Dad (at last) he was in for another scan on Wed to see if it had spread (if it had, they weren't going to be able to treat him) fortunately it is just in the one place so he will start chemo at the end of the month.

    Anyway, before I start anything, I'm going to put in a thread order at acrosstown to stock up on a few that are running low and there's a game on ebay I'm wanting to get for DS1

    Maria - you have been so busy. Your cards are lovely and I'm sure they will be treasured.

    Ailsb - don't tempt me. I've promised myself no more purchases just yet:D. I've been trying to sort a few things out for the free listings too this weekend - nothing of any great value but every little helps :D

    Sweetcarer - hope everything goes well for you with your treatment and make sure you enjoy every minute of your hols. :cool:

    Marru - brill smilies :T

    Flat Eric - yummy lemon drizzle cake (((droooolll))). Love the xmas card desgin - plain and simple. To me it reminded me of some of the MP designs in a way - possibly :) As for my stitching plans - non-existent atm - getting my 'fix' coming here with you lot :D

    Chicky - hope you have a lovely weekend despite this carpy weather :D

    Louise - pleased to hear your Dad got better news at his latest hospital appointment. Hope things go well for him when he starts his treatment. :)

    Well I'm off now to put the kettle on - have a cup of tea - before I start on the next round of chores. I take it there is some of your lemon drizzle left for me Flat Eric ................:D

    Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone and Happy Stitching

    Soooo...using that system....

    Chocolate = cocoa beans
    Beans = vegetable

    Therefore chocolate should be classed as a vegetable so I can have some...

    Right??
