Possibly because he's quite lush? (in a weird geeky way)
I stitched a little later into the afternoon than usual thinking I was finished but as I was tidying up I realised I haven't quite finished the bears bow. I'm not sure if I am going to follow the chart properly or just outline his bow in black.....will have to see how that goes tomorrow. Then I get to choose a new kit to start :T:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Further to my previous post, I succumbed to ordering some kits of Black Sheep Wools.com. For less than £20 (including postage) I got four kits including the tatty ted cricket kit, a small blackwork style xmas tree design, a newton law bookmark kit and an anchor kit, coconut oil seller 2. :j:j:j
I also like this kit on sewandso Flower Pot but something doesn't strike me as quite right with the design/picture but I can't work out what ? What do you think ?
In stitching news, not done much despite being on hols as being going out and enjoying the sun (when it isn't trying to rain:cool:). I received my copy of Cross Stitch Card Shop earlier in the week and I have started the free kit that came with it. Its stitched mainly in white which is fine but the thread feels/is quite fluffy - do you think this is because they use a cheaper thread ? i.e. not dmc or anchor ?0 -

For me the most obvious problems with it are the table legs aren't straight, the flower pot is a bit wonky looking and the table top isn't level....why does it go up into a bump under the seed tray? Apart from those, it's cute! :rotfl:
Though I think they are problems that could be fixed whilst stitching.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

the flower at the front is too bright. it looks out of place.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
oh, i picked up the mag that we are mentioned in, thanks to whoever it was that gave me the issue number. i'm glad we were featured, and it is nicely put, but its a huge shame its not what chicky put together. i am therefore very glad there are quite a few designs i would like to stitch, to justify the cost to my budget!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. i agree with chicky the back ground is lost somehow, the pot at the front seems to stand out even more than the teddy as the central figure.SPC~12 ot 124

My problem with the picture is the teddy's arms. Especially the right one - surely it can't be that short or is it just the angle?"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Thanks to everyone for the messages. I think a lot of the family feel as though we have a bit of a cheek to be so upset when he is the one going through it all
We are a very close family though and the thought of losing him is just too much for any of us to take in. Apparently the 5 year survival rate is only 10%, but rises to 20% if the operation goes well
Bikerchick, I hope my Dad is as strong as you come across (((hugs)))
Craftygranny - I think your tardis hats are adorable. Sorry to hear you have cancelled your CS subscription, I know you have wrestled with that decision for a number of months now but I think your flower alphabet remains a wonderful cross stitching memory of your first husband xxxCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
