  • Louise I don't know what to say, but I am thinking of you and your family.

BED, I will send that thing tomorrow, I know I said it won't be till payday but I have a few pennies ;)

Louise - all the best for you and your family, and as you said you dad has a chance and the medicine moves forward all the time and better cures are found

Chickens are stalled as I lost my interest in the back stitch. Even having my next kit here to start (the wren) is not helping as it is not exciting enough. Sooo - I am going to start the wolves as soon as the chickens are ready and then keep taking the wren to work with me and just do it when out and about. Tomorrow I will copy the chart so I can tape and fold the pages, that should get the chickens finished in no time.

I'm enjoying a few days leave. We have had a busy few days but tomorrow I'm planning on having a long lie in :j (if the furry alarm clock doesn't wake me too early :rotfl:) and I'm hoping to settle down with my stitching. I have itchy fingers as I have birthday money to spend but I don't actually need any more kits/material/threads at present although it still doesn't stop me looking :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm thinking of saving the pennies and then just buying threads / material as and when required. That seems more sensible although it is hard to resist not *finding something to buy now*!

although not cross stitch related, I do like the look of the Nigel Slater Tender (the veg book and the fruit book) but they have both gone up in price since I first saw them so they will remain in my ama%on wish list for the moment.

I hope everyone is having a nice evening. It was raining when I woke this morning but the sun came out at lunchtime so the day redeemed itself. I'm hopeful the weather will stay nice for my last few days away from the office.

Big hugs to you and your family Louise. It's not an easy journey, but hopefully the treatment will be successful.

No stitching done here since Saturday. Have been out of the house for most of the time since then. Hopefully tomorrow evening I can get back to it.

  • So sorry to hear your Dads news Louise - Hugs to you both!

Had my third treatment this morning, so halfway there now. Had a little siesta when I got home so going to get the stitching out now for the rest of the evening. DH has made a lovley vegetable soup for dinner so will have that a bit later.

Had a few ebay sales at the weekend so now have £35 in my paypal account to spend on some lovely cross stitch goodies when I 'stumble' across them :)

I bought four plastic boxes and bobbins for all my DMC threads so I'm gradually winding them all on. Been taking them to bed at night and doing about 10 before I go to sleep so getting through them very gradually. Is it just me, or do they look so lovely all lined up in the box? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
