Seeing as people have been declaring ages I thought I should tell you my age - sorry ladies but I think I increase the average age. I'm 46 soon, live in the Midlands, married with one son.
Off to finish the kitchen now - well hopefully. The list consists of but flooring and help husband fit it (read this as argue like hell until it's down then wonder what we were screaming at each other for), seal the working surface, put the blind back up, put everything back in cupboards. Then clean the kitchen followed by the remainder of downstairs. Upstairs will need to wait.
Will let everyone know how I get on.
Oh, on a stitching front I finished by nephew's house warming gift last night. Just need to frame it now and give it to him. Will take a photo and get it on here shortly. It may seem familiar to some people.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

I've just looked and 175 is the last in the Patriot Bears series. You have 176 onwards, so maybe they're yet to be published?
We'd need to hire a castle to fit everyone in!
Thanks Nykied, I will have to wait and see what is publised. If not I will have to find the three flowers by a different designer
Yep maybe, but depending on numbers we could always rent a cottage or something0 -

Just a little update - have worked very very very hard this morning with shopping and housework etc so that I have got some spare time this afternoon on my new Michael Powell Kit without any guilty feelings (me guilty - as if).Its the first one of I have done and I am pleased to see that the chart looks nice and clear.

I have had a nose on ebay this morning and the Margaret Sherry mag is already for sale. One seller has listed it at £29.99 (buy it now price) plus £3.50 postage :eek::eek: :eek: I'm all for people making money on ebay but....
Oh, I'll close my listing then now, if it offends you
I went to WHS this morning and got a copy. After I'd super-cleaned the kitchen, the bathroom, done 2 loads of washing, taken my boyfriend's car to the garage and taken a TV to the tip0 -
Hya folks - fantastic work being done...puts me to shame!
Wow, amazing letter chicky!
I’ve been having a think about my answers to your/their questions
1) When did you set up the group and why did you decide on a virtual club rather than a real-life club?
I joined in October 2009, linked from another MSE site I was following at the time, can't remember which.
2) How did you begin recruiting members?
Anyone who pops in is welcome to stay as long as they want, and ask whatever they want.
3) What's the age range of your members and are you all UK based?
I am 50, living with hubby and two sons in England. Average age is going up!!
4) Any funny/uplifting stories you can share with us?
Stitching and being here online with the club certainly helped me through my depression last year. I am now busy with many creative projects, but I always try to find time to do some cross-stitch every week, not that I always manage it!
5) You mentioned the quilt joint stitch project which sadly went missing... Will you do any more joint projects do you think? And what would you do with the finished article?
It was very sad about the quilt project; I would love to take part in another one sometime. Auctioning anything we make for charity would be a great idea.
6) Are there any plans to ever meet up in real life?
You never know...I would never rule out a get-together for some of us in the future.
7) What are the benefits of being part of an online club over a real-life club?
You meet so many different people, and at different times of the day. People here are so helpful and encouraging...especially when I am a bit slow in finishing a UFO (hya Louise!).
8) Can you sum up the ethos of the club for me in 3 words?
Encouraging, diverse and dangerous! (to the pocket!)
Here is how I am getting on with the Elegant Lady...can't believe how little I did in May...but determined to get more done in June!

I should have much more time from July onwards, as I am taking Voluntary Redundancy and start on 1st July! However, I am thinking of starting a business of my own, so have to think what I want to do now, and how feasible it would be!!
Off to try and get some stitchng done before tea...DH is cooking.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi everyone
Can I join in please? I have been a 'lurker' for the past 6 months
and have finally plucked up enough courage to join in.
I have lots of UFO's but I need to finish them before treating myself to some more kits.
TH x8 years of being on a DMP finished 3/3/140
