Ohhh! Just got my Margaret Sherry book - was amazed how many copies they had (so if anyone needs me to grab one let me know!). Way too many new projects to list. Plus a gorgeous Christmas stocking chart arrived in the post ;);) - have PM'd you thanks but you know who you are!!!

Chicky - will find puss cat pic and put it up but away this weekend so may not be until Monday, sorry.

I love what you said 23rdSpiral about this group reminding us us stitching is good for the soul - that so needs to go in as I think it sums up our ethos pretty well!

I'm off to finish my next cake now (the snooker table is being picked up later - fingers crossed she loves it!).

    Have a great weekend :)

YAY grabbed my MS book - my smiths had loads too. As promised I did pick up a spare so if anyone can't get hold of one just drop me a PM and I'll pop it in the post (tho as 2 girlies know....you may be waiting 2 or 3 weeks until baby brain is functioning enough to remind me to post it a) at all, b) at a time the post office is actually open....midnight and sunday mornings are not helpful.

if I've not had a request by next weekend I'll pop it on ebay or somewhere.......sure I can offload it.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Just popped on very quickly to say that my lovely newsagent are forever in my debt because guess what was waiting for me when I went in this morning ???? the lovely Margaret Sherry publication I mentioned about the other day :j:D:j:D:j:D:j:D:j:D:j:D

Is it only available in WHS? I've looked in Morrisons today and asked at my local newsagent but they don't have it. The lovely people in the newsagent (who buy one copy of 'Sew' magazine every month just for me) are going to find out if they can order it. They're going to ring me tomorrow :D

I have been in wild goose chase around HC, Mr S and Mr T after it. I have a chance to go to Smiths tomorrow (hopefully) so fingers crossed I can get it.

Marru - i love those chickens! was it you who posted them a while ago? or did someone else stitch them too?

Yep - it was me. And it was 23rdspiral that I followed here after seeing cross stitch mentioned in her signature (I had that unstarted object to do and now have done loads more thanks to this cafe)

:) thanks ejs. it really is good for me, and in managing my bouts of feeling very down... it's good to still be productive and creative even if i cant think straight. this is something i will always need reminding of, so actually had my needle and thread tattoed on my arm! it's my 'permanent post-it note' that says to me 'if in doubt, sew'.

if I've not had a request by next weekend I'll pop it on ebay or somewhere.......sure I can offload it.

humm, you've given me an idea chicky... i think i will buy it but then maybe sell it on later. it's a bit pricy for me being not sure quite how much i'd want to stitch from it. so that seems the best of both worlds!

cant wait to see it started, so cute! and a pretty good description of friends here too i'd say.

:D you remember that it was me?! that's awesome! i cant remember who led me here sadly. i didnt realise i'd led anyone here (other than my 1 sometime-lurker friend who i wont 'out'), so thanks for saying :)

I've had a lovely day at work reading everyones thoughts :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you to everyone for their kind words (and dodgy hugs) this week. Not feeling too good today but I think it's just a long week catching up with me.

Managed a couple of hours stitching last night, and hoping to squeeze a fair bit in over the weekend. I've been back stitching my UFO 'Too Pooped' I thought I'd try and outline what I've done so far, then crack on with the rest of the cross stitch. The cat's all done and half of the tree so I'm determined to meet my challenge for June!
