Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend. It's been forecast to rain here, but has held off so far. Got a loooong list of things to do, so no stitching time for me.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

No stitching this weekend for me but I have sorted out a folder with my projects for the next few months and its a short week at work for me so hoping for some quiet time and a chance to sit down and start my Christmas project later in the week.
I have decided that I am going to take a small project to work and leave it there. I am also going to pick one handbag project and stick with it - rather than have lots of half finished small projects! Then theres my xmas project that I will be starting and finally, my list wouldn't be complete without a winnie the pooh project. My xmas project is definitely decided - this is Country Companions Cricket Design (Ow Zat) K1851 but the other projects I have planned, have yet to be finally decided. I will post more details later in the week.
On a separate note, I have been stitching some fridge magnets that were featured in a World of Cross Stitch mag from a few years back. They are diet themed and I took one to my Slimming World class for the slimmer of the week basket. It was very well received so I shall probably do this again. I can't see that I am doing anything wrong here - I am donating the finished design so am not receiving any financial reward for it and the designs I am stitching have been tweaked by me (some thread colours changed and slight change to wording) and are not licensed characters i.e. not margaret sherry or winnie the pooh so I guess I can restitch as many times as I want and can do with as I please - i.e. donate to the SW basket. I guess if I want, I can also take some pics of the finished designs and send to slimming world mag to see if I can get my letter published? I can't see that World of Cross Stitching would be unhappy with me or send the mag police after me but if anyone can tell me for definite what the score is here then I would be very grateful.

i think you'll be fine flat eric but am sure someone in the know will confirm in a bit.
well thats pretty much all my stuff listed (a few charts not done yet but will leave them for next time)....... as tonight I........ stitch - WAHOOOOO.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Flat Eric - I don't see why you should worry, it's not as if you are selling them. You are giving them as a gift and that is fine, even if they are photographed, it's no different to us posting pics of our completed work on here.
Tbh - I think you should also write to WOXS to tell them and you will prob get a letter published in that as well, it's a great idea, and very thoughtful:TCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. My friend is going through chemo at the moment and he is able to do things while having the treatment(not stitching, but maybe it hasn't occurred to him). Maybe take a magazine along too, so you can read that if you don't feel like stitching.
At least it doesn't start until after your wedding. You must have enough to think about what with all that going on. How are the wedding plans going? It's our wedding anniversary in a few weeks. It'll be 9 years on the 25th! Have you sorted out your something old, something new, etc etc?
Anytime you need us, we'll be here...that's what friends are for.
Thank you for the hugs, Ruth and everyone else.
Wedding plans going very well. I think everything is sorted now.
Something new is my PURPLE dress!
Something old is my black hat from charity shop.
Something borrowed is a victorian brooch from mil2b
Something blue is a blue edged lace hankerchief that belonged to my grandmother
Went to hobbycraft yesterday and bought the ribbon for my Dads car, I am travelling to the registry office with him. Think it's kinda cool that the wedding car is a 4x4
Total budget for the wedding is £1500 and I think we'll come in just under it.
Haven't picked up a needle all weekend but I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunity over the coming months.Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

Morning ladies.

Hi all x
Congratulations to Caroline he's a wee cracker and just remember second kids are normally easier.;)
Have done very little stitching over the weekend and I really need to get moving, I just don't know where my stitchy bug is.
I'm really loving all the pictures everyone is doing great:T:T
Flat Eric You can use the WOXS designs. I remember reading about it one time they are fine to sell too (as long as it's not the copyright ones and you don't go into mass production). Hope that helps.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0
