Oh doesn't everybody frame with glass is there something else I should have used?
I also put a piece of wadding behind the fabric so that it takes out any wrinkles and sag.
Makes it much neater.0 -

I usually do. Obviously not cards & the Dolly Mama kits I've been framing with bell pulls as they're an odd shape for framing (longer and thinner than a standard frame-but not worth the expensive of getting a frame made), but almost all my stitching has been behind glass. Some people don't use it when beads or charms are used, and others like being able to see the texture better. It's all personal choice-no right or wrong way. Unless you're framing the stitching back to front-not joking! My framer once heard of a guy who framed a piece back to front because he didn't know which side was what!!! :eek:Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

If you don't smoke at home, try it one day without glass. It looks different (not better or worse, but definitely interesting
I'm with you on the wadding, it looks much better - I am just too lazy!0 -

I always use glass
You can get non reflective stuff, but for standard sized pieces I don't bother.
I always think that if there's no glass then over time dust will gather and eventually dicolour the fabric so it would need taken out, washed and reframed - I am waaaaay too lazy for faffing about like that. One it's in - it's staying in until it disintegrates :rotfl:
Ps - the cat is lovely, I have the same one which I stitched a few years ago, it's in a big box with all my other 'completed but haven't got round to framing' pieces.:oCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. He is the cutest
Haven't been online for a few days as I had some really devastating news on Tuesday morning.
Two weeks before our wedding and I have breast cancer. The lump literally appeared overnight two weeks ago, but is so large it can only be removed if they do a mastectomy. I have to have chemo to shrink it enough to be removed.
Chemo will start immediately after the wedding, so honeymoon has been cancelled and life is pretty much on hold.
H2b has been wonderful, I know he wants to burst into tears every time I do!
So, does anybody know if you can cross stitch during chemo treatment? I do not want to waste whole days of sitting around in hospital by not stitchingMarried 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

Oh Biker... what awful bad timing. How are you coping? <<hugs>> Keep in touch through out and let us know if you need anything
I reckon you can cross stitch if you're up to it though, why let something silly little a lump stop you doing that.
Seriously though, if you need to chat/rant/cry go for it. Anything to help fight this b@stard disease xxx0 -

Oh, that's so horrible! I know exactly how you feel, as I had breast cancer in 2006 but I didn't have to have chemo because I just had a double mastectomy.
My friend had chemo and he could read whilst it was being done, turning the pages and things. I think if you took it slow, it might be okay.
I know how you feel about your H2B, my boyfriend was more upset than I was, which made me feel worse. I'm so sad for youI'm sure you'll be fine and your H2B will help you through, but if you need anyone to talk to any time, then PM me and I'll give you my mobile number.
