Shelly, love the finished sampler, perfect art deco design. I hope the happy couple love it.

shelly - the sampler looks so lovely, i'm sure they'll adore it.

Thanks and they do....it's hubby and I!! :D

Though when it was done hubby said he would have preferred it if I had used our full names, Michelle and David and he wanted his name first. I rolled my eyes and reminded him I gave him every chance to have some input into it but when asked he always said to do as I pleased....so I did :D

It's our 10 year wedding anniversary this year and I have wanted to stitch a wedding sampler for years but not really found one I like. When Louise posted her Rennie Mack design I fell in love with it instantly.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Shelly - glad you got your sampler finished, it looks lovely. It's such a great design and the fact the colours can be altered to suit makes it wonderfully adaptive :D

Crickett - Hi, welcome to the thread. Don't go to the very beginning - it will take so long to read we will never see you again!!:rotfl:

My mum asked me today what I was planning to stitch for my sister's 30th birthday. I hadn't planned anything (she is really difficult to tag, if you know what I mean) but my mum said that she had dropped hints. Her birthday is April 13th - eek!

Anyway I was looking at the Gorjuss designs. She has always been a bit gothic back in her teens and is still into 'alternative' music so I thought they looked a little bit
gothic-y (?) and she might like them.

I haven't a clue which one to do for her birthday but quite liked 'new heights' for her graduation next month http://www.crossstitchers.co.uk/product.php?xProd=2186

However, I always object to buying kits when I have all the fabric and threads I need and then some!!:o Does anyone know if I can get the charts on their own from anywhere??

yep. i'm totally stuck with fear on it, fear of getting the lettering wrong. i am pleased with how pretty it looks though. i'm just scared of messing it up!
    - how'd you make the keyrings? are they the plastic canvas? i need a new one for the new house!

Ahh I understand the fear, I can't wait to see it though.

These are kits I bought at the show but basically its just normal aida sandwiched between a keyring (you can get some with the fronts off). These were £2.99 for the complete kit but I know you can get empty keyrings on ebay for a few pound.

I think I am going to go with 'I love you little rabbit' (below) for her birthday if I can buy it tomorrow (don't have time to wait if I order it online)her rabbit gave birth to 13 baby bunnies recently so she will see the funny side:rotfl: failing that I will stitch Puddles of love :D
