My daughter is called Isabelle too and I just noticed that Moosmummy has an Isobel also, 3 people with good taste then:D.
Second time only I have asked for anything on here but could I have a ;) of Isabella's garden if the chart is not too massive for you to do please? I love Lavender and lace designs.
In my Isabelle's room she has 1 Winnie Pooh, 3 flower fairies, one row of teddies and a birth sampler all made by me or my late mum or my mil. She loves them.

I will dig it out and see what condition its it. I always work from the origional chart and shade with pencil what Ive stitched. If its ok I will gladly ;) it for you. I'll get back to you asap.
:j:):jI am a bankruptcy survivour (10 years ago). It does get easier.:j:):j

Haven't managed any cross stitch yet today but going to have a quick tidy up in a minute and try to sit down for a couple of hours with my row of cats. Have family coming round later but dinner is on the hob - just rice and extras to be cooked later.

If you have stitched a Dimensions Gold design, can I ask what you think of the charts ?? They look very confusing to me ? When I first started cross stitching it was a simple black n white chart that you got, now I have noticed, you get one chart for the symbols then an extra one with the backstitch on (so that any obscured symbols are visible). The Dimensions Chart is a whole new kettle of fish to me ! Oh and does anyone know where I can get dimension threads from ?? They have weird numbers which I am guessing are not your average dmc/anchor shades.

I had a nice surprise yesterday, the Dimensions European Bistro kit that I ordered turned up :j

Oh my is all I can say :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::D

Its going to be one hell of a project :rotfl:

Can I record here and now that this is my ten year project :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

and to the poster who said about stitching with 5 strands, this design features 2 strands for the cross stitch but for the half cross stitch, we have 3, 4 and 5 strands used  For some of the backstitch its 3 strands !!

    I think I need a lay down

:eek::eek: dunno about a lie down. i'd need to take to my bed for a week just reading what needs doing.
Can't wait to see the progress pics though.

You could always use the thread conversion chart here :)

That was me, so thank you for easing my mind about using 5 strands lol

hi everyone, so i havent quite caught up on all i've missed, but i am finally starting to feel like myself again. i even got out last night to visit friends which was lovely.

i've just indulged and watched Dances with Wolves, i though i'd not seen the end, but i had really just forgotten it. ho hum. it was a good excuse to start stitching again - just a pair of little birds on grass from a recent CrossStitcher but it's getting me in the groove again. i'm using a piece of scrap aidea and random bits of thread, so it's not the right colours but that's ok.

whats all this about a stitch along? i do love those cut through designs, esp the Pirate Ship, Lighthouse and Gypsy Wagaon... but i cant really justify the expense... maybe a ;) would be ok? or maybe i wait till by birthday at the end of jan?

(if our house purchase goes through there's a card-size sampler i'd really like to do us to celebrate, but i'm scared of jinxing it by starting before we've exchanged)

Finally got my football pictures made up and a photo taken:

These are now ready to hang on DS1's wall and he seems very pleased with them.

And this is my current WIP:

This is the one that I'm not sure what it's called. It's a DMC kit and it has the slogan "The Spirit of England" across the bottom with a border around the edge and roses in each corner. I have searched for "The Spirit of England" DMC cross stitch kit on Google but nothing has come up - might be discontinued of course.

This village scene that I'm stitching at the moment is actually quite a small feature of the finished piece. There is a lot of backstitching and half cross stitches in it - what was I thinking???

This is my favourite project so far, the design I did for last Christmas: http://www.flickr.com/photos/57019223@N05/5306603435/in/pool-1577253@N21

And this is the Christmas stocking I finished on Christmas Eve night: http://www.flickr.com/photos/57019223@N05/5306598321/in/pool-1577253@N21/

I have no idea how to make the pictures appear here as pictures rather than links, but hey.

I want to do a leopard or lion design for my Dad for next Christmas, so if anyone has one or sees one, please let me know :)
