Looking forward to seeing how the stitch-along goes wth the cut thru design :j

I have always been keen to do the princess castle, but I already have 2 deadlines to stitch for: My brothers wedding on 12th Feb and this morning I have had an old friend contact me on facebook askking if I would stitch her a baby sampler for the beginning of Feb. Just working out details and costs atm...hoping she doesn't want a cube, they are a nightmare to sew up :rotfl:

So - January is going to be a busy month!!!:T

:santa2:hi everyone, i'm back... i've not been on as i've had really bad flu. i've never had flu so bad, i was in bed for days, then sick and dizy for days and only now just beginning to feel like myself again.

Hi 23rdspiral, I know how you've been feeling. Both myself and my daughter have had the flu, although luckily we were both a lot better by christmas morning! Glad you're starting to feel better.

I *think* I have Lickle Picnic.;) Not certain, but it rings a bell. When my back is back to normal, I'll drag out my kit box and have a look. If I don't let you know soon, give me a nudge about it.

Oooh thanks, that'd be great :)

I can't find my cut thru rocket, so I may have to buy another one anyway, but I'm looking forward to the stitch-a-long :j
  • I have just come back from our local Hobby Craft as I wanted a couple of skeins of DMC. I had a quick look at the sale stuff but there wasn't anything I liked so did not get tempted. Got home took the threads out and found one of them is the wrong colour, it must have been put in the wrong place. Grrrrr.......
  • Ooooh can I join here? Intinerate MSE forum user but trying to get a grip and get back into OS forum this year. Currently stitching Alan Manley's Gracious Era - not allowed to buy any new kits (have you seen the suitcases on top of the wardrobe :rotfl:?)Sooo, I have decided that I will be stitching a lot of presents next year :D I did do a family sampler this year for my BIL and SIL so they might get a break ;) Still have a wish list though - mainly John Clayton Flower Panels - desperate for daffodil and honeysuckle - and Lavendar and Lace..... I'm going to enjoy this place :)
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

The backstitch is going to be a complete faff - a bit like when I stitched Elmo - the backstitch is what I would call freehand ? i.e it doesn't simply follow the aida holes and pops up everywhere randomly. it shouldn't be allowed !
completly agree - why do they do that it drives me MADDDDDDD

I think I might have to start a stash pot for my loose change so that I can treat myself next time I see something I want :D (not that i need anything else of course !)

I think everytime we leave a craft shop empty handed £1 should go in the 'stash' pot for a treat.

oh piddlyfiddlesticks that reminded me i was sposed to buy a 10" hoop on my lunch break....... tho am sure i have one somewhere.

Please could i have a ;);) for the cut thru princess castle . I'd love to give one a go.

i'll have a looksy when i get home - remind me.

**wonders where waving man has gone and can't be bothered to hunt for him** Hello Rage in Eden

question: why do i always start reading this thread from the bottom up and wonder why it doesn't make any sense??? **goes off to find a brick wall**

oh it has sooo been one of those days at work already - you know its gonna be good when the only work kettle blows up 10 minutes into the day and your 2 collegues don't turn in till 1h 45 min after the day started.

its very strange here the world has actually disapeared - so i'm not sure why I am writing this cause none of you will read it. (will try post a pic later so this makes sense).
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Rage in Eden - welcome ot the Cafe :j I will need to google that piece you mentioned later ,unless you want to post some pics *hint*? ;)

My 3 year old is wanting on the computer (sheesh) so going to click up the cbeebies site then sit next to her with a cuppa and my stitching - with a last push I'm hoping to get the fireside mice completed today.

    Later x

    Hello!

Ive done some Lavender and Lace designs. Isabellas Garden being my most recent completion.

My daughter is called Isobel, so really I completed it for her. As with many of my completions it is waiting to be framed and has a special place mapped out on my daughters wall for it to hang.

    Hi girls!
Thought I'd pop in quickly and let you know that I'm getting on with my Queen Anne House. I'm onto the beading now. So far it's ok, although I'm dreading the bead garlands. Sounds complicated to me. Watched Julie & Julia on Sky as I was stitching. Quite a nice film. Might go and find another film to watch while I tackle the post lunch session. Nothing too sad, as I'm likely to start bawling and then can't stitch. Any suggestions? Have loads of DVDs to choose from, but end up staring at them for ages and wasting stitching time. LOL!
It must be slightly warmer here today as I'm just wearing a thin jumper and trousers and I feel hot. Can finally turn the heating down a bit. :)

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A
  • Finally cuaght up with the posts and can now write my own little piece..:j

I have been stitching for about 18 years now and adore it. I no longer have much of a stash as I have sold loads of it on ebay as I had enough to last a few lifetimes....only have 4 drawers full now...:o

I have the first navity kit if anyone needs a hand with it...Bought it about four years ago at a show and still haven't started it...also got a tree skirt that year too which is still in the packet...lol

At the minute I am finishing off some butterflies for a charity, and then will start Christmas stockings which I am planning on giving as gifts next year, expecting much longed for baby no 1 in April so have no funds for presents, but loads of spare time as I am not working.

Hope to get to know you all better, and looking forward to helping out those I can.

As a side note, I am on the look out for Jungle Book designs for baby's nursery if anyone sees any please let me know...xx
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)
