I haven't done much cross stitch today as I braved the sales (well was meeting a friend) the sales and the crowds were just a bonus. :rotfl:
I am debating whether to brave them again tomorrow or to stay at home cross stitching ? I have made good progress with my row of cats so far - have completed one cat (no backstitch though) and I have started the second. The backstitch is going to be a complete faff - a bit like when I stitched Elmo - the backstitch is what I would call freehand ? i.e it doesn't simply follow the aida holes and pops up everywhere randomly. it shouldn't be allowed !
I have resisted the cross stitch sales as I have treated myself quite a lot recently and also got a couple of bits for xmas but I think I might have to start a stash pot for my loose change so that I can treat myself next time I see something I want(not that i need anything else of course !)

New challenge finish birth sampler by end of the month
No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
I know you are all "canny" cross stitch shoppers, so have any of you found web sites with good sales (kits, charts etc) ?
Thanks

Ohhh...can you tell me where you found this design please??
Have been looking for a suitable stitch for my brothers wedding in Feb and this one could save me having to design my own - can easily change the coulours to their black and pink theme.
No problem - here http://www.countrycrossstitchkits.co.uk/acatalog/Mackintosh_Style_Patterns.html
There is a slightly different pinky one too."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Hi everyone. Just a quick post tonight. I haven't had time to read all of the new thread yet. I'm only up to page 4. I just wanted to say hi to all the newcomers and I hope everyone had a good Xmas. I have had friends round tonight so it's been a bit mad but lots of fun. I'll post more tomorrow. I aim to get lots more stitching done in 2011. Best wishes

Nmm sorry to hear about your dog. It's horrible to have to do it isn't it?
Welcome to all the new ladies:hello: I love the mirabilia designs, will be treating myself when I have finished Rocky Point i think. Have you stitched them on linen? I have a Lavender and lace kit to do on linen which I have had a couple of years (it's a Santa one) but have never stitched on linen so have put it off!
Have done a fair bit on Rocky point tonight but will have to write to Dimensions as I have run out of 3 different colours:mad: which is even mor eof a pain as many of the symbols are blended so there are quite a few symbols I just can't stitch:mad:
My main achievement today is getting both kids bedrooms sorted with all rubbish thrown,. all babyish toys removed and all new presents re-homed:j
Next job is to throw some stuff out of my wardrobe, hang some curtains and start on my marking:( Oh and take the 2 bags of stuff back to next which either were unliked of didn't fit (must lose Christmas flab:o) Have been doing too much of this:EasterBunCross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0
