You & me both, Thifty! Ate nothing but junk since Xmas eve. Very naughty of me.
As for cross stitch sales-Sew & So didn't seem to have much more than usual. Hobbycraft sale section was rubbish but have kits on 3 for 2 in normal bit which might be useful to some. Celtic Rose Needlecraft have some charts reduced-up to 75% off. Oooh, not checked Black Sheep yet.
Edited to add-Black Sheep has some lovely kits in the sale. Just as well I'm too comfy in bed to get up & find my credit card.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

i had some money left over from christmas money anyway and it will just go for one of the birthdays. the lab kit was my partners fault, he noticed i was looking at kits and spotted that one, it look just like freyja our black lab so he wants me to stitch that, that will be his christmas or birthday i think.0 -

I've never heard of Black Sheep, except as my husband's favourite beer! Sure enough the Black Sheep Brewery was top of the search results lol. Having found the sewing site I like a couple of bits in the sale, Lickle Picnic is so cute, I might have to buy it! I've been to Hobbycraft, and I have to agree there was no real sale. In my local they had a couple of reduced kits, but really not my sort of thing.0 -

Just checking into the 2011 thread. George Michael is finished... picture to follow as I'm at the in-laws at the moment.
I have also completed 2 football pictures that I designed myself for DS1. They are both the same but I have done one with a blue background with red border and the other with a red background and blue border. Father-in-law has knocked up a couple of wooden frames for me and I have stapled the fabric around the frame to hang on the bedroom wall. Photos to follow when I get home.
My next project is a proper UFO - must have started it 10 years ago!!!
I don't know what it's called and I've lost the packaging so have no idea what it's supposed to look like when it's finished in terms of it's colours.
Off to look at the Black Sheep sale now. Credit Card is next to me as I've been up since 5.45am booking Travelodge rooms for next year...CC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2024 £52974.602025 MFW #360 -
:santa2:hi everyone, i'm back... i've not been on as i've had really bad flu. i've never had flu so bad, i was in bed for days, then sick and dizy for days and only now just beginning to feel like myself again. Xmas was a bit of a washout but luckily i dogdged my folks and spent 2 days being cared for at my fiance's parents.:xmassign:
i hope everyone had a nicer christmas?
i havent been on since the 18th, page 311, so i've quite a bit to catch up on (to 316 there, and 7 on this new shiney thread!!). I also havent done any stitching, havent been up to it, but hope to start something new today. i'm off to have a catch up now whilst my other half is still in bed!:xmastree:Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Would just like to say I hate french knots - grrrrrrrr practising on the dove kit in preparation for the cushion..... why oh why do some come out brilliantly and some look like rabbit doo doo.
But the good news is my glasses have arrived at my mums so when i go and surprise her for her birthday i can pick them up and sew for longer....0 -

I feel your pain!!
When I sit at my pc with fabric, thread and an online french knot tutorial they go perfectly but as soon as I go back downstairs in front of tv (my usual stitching place) they will not come out right!
I have a kit in my stash of a couple of ballerina bears and their tu-tus are made up of hundreds of french knots......might use sequins or beads in stead :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Calories-I wish that were true, but my snug clothes tell me otherwise. :rotfl:
I did know my credit card details by heart (and DHs!) but had to change card & not got this one memorised just yet.

I *think* I have Lickle Picnic.;) Not certain, but it rings a bell. When my back is back to normal, I'll drag out my kit box and have a look. If I don't let you know soon, give me a nudge about it.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
