    Thank you :D

I got via a ;) from here - so if you'd like it, you know what to do!

Hi Mags your church is lovely. My Nephew is getting married next year, he's an art teacher who loves Italy so this would be ideal for him. If there is any chance of a ;) I would be very grateful.

    Thanks

  • PLEASE is anyone doing princess palace?? the = sign is verigated blue/ green and the bow symbol verigated yellow/ red.

which ones have you chosen?? where did you buy them??

do you think if i just chose the blue and green / yellow and red already in the chart and used 1 strand of each the result would be as good (am swaying to this option).
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

I have the Noah' Ark cut thru, for the Variegated its says Coats 1345. I think I matched it up in Hobbycraft with Anchor 1345.
Not 100% but will dig it out. Think the DMC volour variations was a bit paler, and the Anchor was almost spot on.

  • PS if anyone wants a ;) of them just pm me. Can email or post, as for some strange reason they accidentally fell into scanner as I copied them as I like to mark them off in highlighter as I stitch them.

Also someone was looking for a sewing theme for their friend. I have the Sewing Bothy Threads hobby (also the baking one too) if that helps....

My stash of charts, fabric and threads could really do with it's own room rather than some storage crates:o

:mad::mad::mad: Just spent ages writing a reply & the blooming thing won't send and has now gone!:mad::mad::mad:

The gist of it was, varigated will give a different effect from tweeding, but as it's for the fireworks, it shouldn't matter too much. The varigated threads I have in my stash don't match up. There's some on Sew & So that *might* work:
4100 - DMC Color Variation Thread or 4120 - DMC Color Variation Thread for red/yellow
    4030 - DMC Color Variation Thread for blue/green (67p a skein)
but hard to say from the screen pic.
I can see what I have left over from my kit once I've stitched that part. I have 6 lengths of each colour in my kit.
Or...you could contact Bothy Threads asking if you could buy some from them as your (ahem) cat got to your threads & they're now unuseable (ahem). They may even send you some for free...

This post had better send ok. I can't type it again...

thank you.... lol i love the contact them bit, not sure i can be quite that cheeky. the '=' one is for water on square A3 as well. have never actually used verigated before - do you have to cross each individual stitch rather then (as i do at mo) stith all one way for a large block then go back over them.

Hi all as promised here's my first attempt at posting a photo. If it works the first is the picture of the design and the second is my progress this week - not much I'm afraid, but I am getting there.

Sorry it's taken so long to do this. Hadn't realised I needed a Flicker account.:)
