I second Alisb, they're gorgeous! They'd look lovely on an Afghan too.

Happy birthday for next week, Dorastar! Hope you have a great week. Relaxing in a cottage with lots of books sounds lovely to me.
You have the best craft shops up north. I can't think of any decent ones round here now that Craft Lines has shut down.

I love the look of this, the bears are so cute. I assume it's a calendar of bears. I bet individual ones would make lovely cards. Did you stitch it from a kit?

Hi ailsb. yes it is from a kit but the bears are a nice size and would make lovely cards . You can't really see the others as they are scrolled around the bottom bar. If you'd like a ;);) just pm me your email addy .

Dorastar your haoliday sounds like it's going to be fab. I'm only slightly envious honest. I've always been this shade of green. :rotfl:

Oh, I think I'm to blame for Bakewell. Sorry! ;) I went up there with my Mum in early December. Sounds like you enjoyed yourself. Happy belated birthday, BTW.

I turned 30 last June & I was dreading it. Didn't want to ignore it though, so planned a trip to Center Parcs with some friends. It turned out to be a great week. Bittersweet because it was my first birthday without my Grandma, but I got through it. Need to have a think about what to do for this birthday now...

don't apologise! and many thanks!! it was a great weekend, and the XStitch was a total bonus!! :D i wanted to go to Castleton to hike Mam Tor (as had to bail on a group trip 2yrs ago due to Pluersy), so that was our main motivation. well, that and hiring a too cute cottage with 2 awesome friends.
funny how similar some of this is, loosing nans, sticky birthdays ect...

That's the one. Been gone a while now, but it used to be nice to go up there, lunch in the pub & wander round the shop...:(

Yep, we've got a few things in common. Except you won't catch me doing a hike anywhere! I'm more a sit on a bench enjoying the view with a cuppa kinda girl!

Having stash does bring pressure. Makes you behave a bit more too. I had a rummage through some charts yesterday & I have SOOOO many christmas & halloween things. Shows my weakness. :D

Whooops! Just realised the time....gotta get dressed & get going. Meeting my friend and we're having a floatation session in London. Bliss. Catch you all later!

  • I have a very big stash of mini kits from magazines, trying to work my way through them I did finish a Christmas card one last night just need to mount it on a card now. I also have some UFO and need a good kick up the behind to get them finished this year.

Last night i found a lavender and lace "oh Christmas tree" that I have finished and its all rolled up and just needs framing!
