well i had to break that 20 quid yesterday to pay for some sewing threads in a little independent shop - no way was i going to ask her about paying by card. so for now i've enough change for Lots of days!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0

I'm loving this, a great feeling of satisfaction, walking in the door from work and put my £1 and all the 1/2/5p in - can't believe I'm up to £20 already:j:j:j

sorry to be really sensible, but if your OD has interest or charges, then i'd pay that off first. i'd still know i'd done the challenge but also be pleaseed i'd made Very Good use of the money saved up through it. even if it didnt have costs i'd still want to pay that off first - unless the savings account's interest earnt was more than the OD costs of course! :money:Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Have posted elsewhere but am disappearing into a big hole for a while cos need to get on with work. So am cutting out distractions (mse, facebook, tv, dh:p) until I can see the wood for the trees again.

You're probably right. At the start, the thought of having extra money at the end of the year was the most appealing but I def want rid of the OD this year so think it's best put towards that (and yes, I am charged for it)!

But my first challenge was I didn't have a piggy bank to put it in and knew it would get spent if it was sat staring at me.
Asked at work if anyone had one and got one given to me the next day, well chuffedAren't people lovely.:j
