£365 in 365 days...... the 2011 challenge

Haven't been to town since Christmas Eve so no chance to get to the bank, all my shopping has been by debit card or via home delivery. Had to wait for DH to empty his pockets which he did today. Another £6 into my pot taking my total up to £28. Only 10 days behind now!!

never did pull that pound together yesterday but did get some change today from tesco so have put three pound in to cover yesterday, today and tommorow xxx

On New Year's Eve I opened a Halifax Regular Saver account for £31 to go in at the end of every month. It matures on 31 December 2011 so now I HAVE to do it! No excuses. Been faithfully putting £1 a day in my little tin. As soon as it gets up to £10 I'll put it in the bank.

tee hee, i've still got that 20 quid! (feels like a new challenge not to spend it!) a friend gave me 4 quid she owed me, so will put that in my jar .

am thinking that if i can do most days this month, then as it's my bday at the end of the month, and a significant one, i'll have enougth to treat myself to a shiney something i'd really like... is that breaking the rules too much!?!

am sorry to hear that. i'm shocked they can sack you for being unwell. i hope you can find some hints and tips on these forums. i've recently joined the Frugal Living challenge hiding down in 'how much have you saved' and it's full of great info. good luck.

great idea! i've a few morrisons vouchers that i'd intended to spend on Xmas but was too ill to go shopping! i might put them in my jar for now, but swap them later... i'm not sure i want to do my 'treat' shopping in morrisons!!

I'm going to need a bigger piggy bank!!

Up to £9 - going to try to use a mixture of coins (of all sizes) and try to avoid notes - this was my main downfall to raiding tins last year.

(oh, they're going to love me when I go to bank it).

Another £1 in the pot tonight - getting into the habit of soon as I get home from work just popping the coin in the tin before I do anything, nice feeling as its something to look forward to at the end of the year
