Anyone know if there's anything left in Colchester. Tried to park today and actually couldn't so may try tomorrow. Or maybe I'll just call and get this deal?

Wow. Pretty shell-shocked reading this thread. It got so bad couldn't read anymore :(

    Relax ppl... please!

I cld write all about this matter, but this thread is about the 'sales' offer.

Back to the point, I stocked up happily in-store (Croydon/Regent St) on bubble bars and ballistics. It's a great deal. I can never make it first thing in previous years so usually miss out. They did seem to have quite a bit of stock so I hope everybody gets what they want.

I happen to be an employee of Lush and in order to sell the products you have to be able to memorize and understand the ingredients in most of the products. For example, While Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is a synthetic it is actually derived from coconuts, and due to the recent publicity about the dangers of SLS, I believe it was Mo Constantine who did some research. She found that while many sites and articles claimed SLS is dangerous there are actually very few studies that claim this is so. If there is any danger it is dioxins being introduced by the manufacturing process (which we believe our manufacturing process minimizes). Still, lush is listening to market demand and slowly replacing SLS with Sodium Coco Sulphate, also derived from coconuts and should be free of the supposed dangers of SLS. In addition to this, all of the Lush fragrances are made with essential oils, with one exception: synthetic musk (so no animals are harmed!). The ingredient lists usually do say "perfume" near the bottom but that is used to keep secret a certain blend of essential oils. Also, the ingredients are ethically purchased as well, for example the Shea Butter comes from a Women's Co-op in Uganda where they all get fair wage and fair trade prices for their product. Lol, though they still do some things I don't approve of, like promote baths (which can be wasteful). And even though most of their products are solid (shampoo, bubble bath, massage bars, body butters, etc) to reduce packaging, remove the need for preservatives, and minimize shipping wieght, the pots they do have is hard to recycle in most cites. Phew, sorry about my rant, lol, I could keep going!"
    Interesting site, cheers.
I do know lush previously used SCS but switched to SLS for whatever reason, cost or something maybe.

A lot of fuss over the forum offer and for no problem it seems - I just managed to call in an order at 4.30 and they still had hat boxes left. I wasn't bothered about fighting for one but thought I would try and have a quick call given its the end of the day and got lucky.

    Same here! :D

The irony is if the lush forum members hadn't made such a fuss I'd not known about the offer.

It was only when I read tho the posts that I saw Loobys post. I would have missed it otherwise.

I rang at 4.00. No problem with the order went thru smoothly, come on you have eight min's left people! :D

Well I think Lush have done very well, I left ordering till 16:50 as I'm just a Lush forum lurker/only became aware of the offer here and they still had plenty of hatboxes left, just not very much Christmas stock which didn't worry me I was only after permenant line stuff.
