i quite hope it works as my sister really wanted to use it! she only uses lush products(even the ridiculous over priced tea tree water:rotfl:) but doesn't spend her free time on forums so isn't a member

  • I haven't been able to get through, I have a forum username but have never been able to get on!
  • Lush forum members are posting lies on this thread to discourage MSE forum members from trying to take advantage of the offer.

    What lies?

On the Lush forum they're saying that the mailroom people are matching usernames to real names, but nobody's able to get through in any case.
People have made 400+ phone calls

I like Lush stuff (and I like free stuff), but I don't know anyone whose real life allows them to spend a couple of hours hanging on the phone.

It did crack me up a bit last night, I was trying to be reasonable on both forums pointing out that there are ways to check that people are eligible for the offer so the Lush people have no reason to worry and someone started talking about my lack of "moral entitlement" to the offer because I've been lurking but not posting on their forum for years. I understand why people want to be protective of something that's just for them, but moral entitlement's going a bit far. Besides, I'd need international shipping and wasn't going to bother trying anyway. I'm waiting for our local in-store 50% off sale.
Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
    Three gifts left to buy
  • Out of interest, has anyone had a good look at that list of products worth £60? There is a candle and Creme Anglais that comes to about £40 in itself. The actual products you get besides them 2 do not make it worthwhile spending the day on the phone.

I am a member of the Lush forum but stopped posting over a year ago after I told a select few where to go after they ganged up on me. I read the Salon and Shop events posts daily though. just stay out of the VIP lounge and you should be ok.
  • Good lord! I only came on here to see what bargains people had been getting in the LUSH sale!!

I went into my local store yesterday at about 11.30am and picked up a Stardust gift box half price and 3 little bottles of Snow Fairy half price. I was hoping to get a big bottle but they had run out. Still very pleased with my lot and the shop assistants were so lovely even though totally rushed off their feet! I actually think this works better than the 'spend £20 and get a free giftbox' like they have done in previous years, and i'm sure it is much easier for the store staff to deal with.

I have been a regular user of LUSH a long time. Since they first opened a store in Bath which must be about 10 years ago now. I used to be a member of the forums many moons ago but never posted much. I really can't believe how worked up people are getting about this forum offer. I am a very big fan of LUSH but wouldn't be getting this worked up over a missed offer. All i can assume is that they are very young with nothing better to do.

There is more to life than soap and bath bombs! ;)

They're mostly "treat" type products rather than products most people would regularly buy anyway. Lots of "forum exclusives" are on ebay, so it's not just MSE that supposedly ebay everything for profit...

  • The threads on both forums (and the comments on Hot Deals) are making me howl with laughter.... good job really as there is nowt on the telly ;-)

There are nasty biatches on both forums and some lovely people on both forums (just like the real world). I can't beleive a bunch of grown (and presumably adult, although I do wonder) women are getting so worked about soap... clearly with age there is little maturity :rotfl:

    Hilarious!!!! :T :T :T

Dunno why they are getting so wound up. The Lush website is utter crap. Far too much hassel for what you get.
