Meanwhile, M&S are selling off their food hampers with 75% reductions.
And muggins here actually fell for that. Though the last thing I want is more food, I have a few things coming up in the next week where a bargain hamper would be nice.
*Please - no-one direct me to the only thread(s?) about this issue. I've read them all and prob contributed!
Back to soap: surely this thread has had its day now...;)?0 -
Do i just need the name of the products i want to order, call up and give a forum name and email address?"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. What limited edition body bar is that then?0 -
ordered some products and was offered free Xmas hat-box no mention of forum only members. i was ordering anyhow as I don't have lush near me so this is a welcome bonus. Seems Lush aren't bothered if you are a member in this financial climate business is business and it will probably benefit them long term. I can understand forum members being upset in-case they run out but I only phoned once ad got straight through so die-hard lush fans will have had no trouble getting through earlier on. All that arguing over soap and it appears plenty available for all.New to comping 11/2/2013

They're probably changing it now they're finding how miffed people are at the naff sale
I only wanted to get a few bath bars for a treat, they're usually WAY overpriced, you can buy litres of radox or a good amount of natural bubble bath for the price of one! Most lush stuff isn't even that "natural", the shampoos still contain SLS
Regarding SLS, found this on another forum:

I happen to be an employee of Lush and in order to sell the products you have to be able to memorize and understand the ingredients in most of the products. For example, While Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is a synthetic it is actually derived from coconuts, and due to the recent publicity about the dangers of SLS, I believe it was Mo Constantine who did some research. She found that while many sites and articles claimed SLS is dangerous there are actually very few studies that claim this is so. If there is any danger it is dioxins being introduced by the manufacturing process (which we believe our manufacturing process minimizes). Still, lush is listening to market demand and slowly replacing SLS with Sodium Coco Sulphate, also derived from coconuts and should be free of the supposed dangers of SLS. In addition to this, all of the Lush fragrances are made with essential oils, with one exception: synthetic musk (so no animals are harmed!). The ingredient lists usually do say "perfume" near the bottom but that is used to keep secret a certain blend of essential oils. Also, the ingredients are ethically purchased as well, for example the Shea Butter comes from a Women's Co-op in Uganda where they all get fair wage and fair trade prices for their product. Lol, though they still do some things I don't approve of, like promote baths (which can be wasteful). And even though most of their products are solid (shampoo, bubble bath, massage bars, body butters, etc) to reduce packaging, remove the need for preservatives, and minimize shipping wieght, the pots they do have is hard to recycle in most cites. Phew, sorry about my rant, lol, I could keep going!"0 -
hopefully there'll be no more getting into a lather about it all now ...
*sorry - couldn't resist0
