60 months is supposed to seem shorter than 5 years - much like psychological pricing - this for under £500! (only £499.99!) crap.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to get a financial advice from Phil "I don't know anyfink about loans" Tuffnell.

he was a great choice wasnt he! Forgot about him.

The marketing psychology around that was, I can imagine them all sat round a table in a glossy office in Bradford somewhere going "he won Im a celebrity get me out of here, all the thick poor people voted for him, they'll do anything he says, give him a ring, lets get him down here"

    Job done.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Yes the advert is just plain weird. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that immortal line of his, 'thats something for HER to do..' chauvanist or what??

Like you would wander round the house like that moron when gambling with your house and your family's future! Sitting at a desk with a pen and paper noting down apr etc like any sensible person, wouldn't make such interesting(!) viewing....

I think the filming thing could be quite useful from their point of view when things go belly up, as they have proof of what was said by them, but comes unstuck unless they had picture on loadspeaker and could be heard on the tape:doh: Is it me? Or am I paranoid?

Still the 'actors' have the last laugh at us, they are being paid for that twaddle, and technically our debt is paying their wages.

The whole ad campaign is so bad its painful. Oh and I HATE football.

having had my lbm i can see the funny side of these adverts thinking ..who are you lot trying to kid you silly people...do you think we are that stupid.. ..but then i remember they do kid people on and that makes it a scary thought and gets me angry ..so for me these adverts are a kinda double edged sword

You never know - they may be planning to pay the loan off by making and selling their own movies...

Thank god they got rid of that stupid animated mortgage one. I remember one line was "Mrs X is always by the tills, but never has enough to pay her credit card bills." Umm, shouldn't she maybe get some psychological help rather than remortgaging her house? Then the other characters... one was a guy who had just lost his job, one was a single mum who couldn't afford repayments on a loan. SO WHY TAKE ONE OUT THEN? GRRRRRR!

But yes, picture is awful too. And the millions of cheap ads where they're in a call centre with lovely friendly looking staff, just waiting to take your money. I mean, call.

there is one that makes me laugh...Norton Finance I think it is, where the people interviewed are getting soaked in the pouring rain..."I'm retired, where do I go for a loan?"....while if you look, the people in the background are walking around with no umbrellas, no coats on....and not getting wet.....lol
