Well, Depending on what version you have. If its elements you can phone 0800 0280148 and mention Offer Code MJ73 to get half price (must have elements serial version with you).
PlatoSoftware have the full license for £380 CS5 Photoshop.
Stay away from horizonsoft.co.uk most likely a scam site, and PlatoSoftware is dodgy, chances are you will receive it, but sometimes their delivery dates are...... extended, pay with credit card just in case.0 -
What I don't understand is why Photoshop is a premium product but Premiere Elements (their video editor) is such a heap of crap.
For basic photo editing and correction I rate paint.net way above gimp.Happy chappy0 -

Mmmm: "Paint.NET is free image and photo editing software for computers that run Windows"
Windows, I remember that, do they still make it?GIMP - on the other hand - will run happily on Linux/Unix/Mac *AND* Windows......
Personally GIMP does everything I want it to do and it logical and easy to use. Sure, it could do a lot more - but if I want that functionality I would buy PS for Mac as it pretty much is 'the industry standard'.
Anything 'Windows only' turns me off, and anything that is built on the dotnet framework conjurers up images of Mickey Mouse with me - but I am a fussy old queen.
I find Fotoxx useful on occasions too. (http://kornelix.squarespace.com/fotoxx/)0 -
A new version of Photoshop is required in the badger's sett. The current one is too old to buy an upgrade for and the average price seems to be over £600, which is... excessive (particularly as the thieves at Adobe charge a lot less for the same download if you're in the USA).
Any legal MSE suggestions would be very much appreciated!
Do you put the word Legal in every request for everything you make?--

I'll have a look at the latest version of Gimp. I gave up with it last time due to the non-intuitive interface and bugs. Paint.net has been an instant hit for me. Easy to use and reliable.Happy chappy0 -

That's nice for you. I have Linux and Mac, and it doesn't run on that. I do recall looking at that little paint.net on my daughters laptop. In particular it taking around half an hour to download the dependency (.net, plus various updated to .net et al). On startup it make a number of network callouts before it crashed. I think it ran on the third try, but she ditched it and loaded an old copy of 'Paint Shop Pro' in the end. I'm sure it's better than that now.
I'm sure that's not everybody's experience of paint.net, and I'm glad it's working for you.
I agree GIMP can be a bit tough on those that aren't all that savvy. When I first started using it many moons ago I had to spend nearly 2 minutes reading the documentation to get it to do what I wanted (cropping a picture). Each time something new came up it was a real chore to have to look at all those really well written 'how to's' and tutorials that were difficult to find with Google. Still, whatever floats your boat :rotfl:0 -
