just having a relax now before collecting DS2 from work. DH still hard at it - he'll be shattered when he gets in.
The dogs are collapsed in the kitchen asleep as they've been racing round in the snow all morning like loonies!
House nice and clean, ironing done, trifle made. No prep for me for tomorrow as I'm at work and having lunch there. DH and the 2 DSs are having a mega all day breakfast instead and I'm cooking boxing day.
Merry Christmas all my OS friends.:xmassign:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Not posted on this thread before so hello to all.
2011 is going to be a year of decluttering the house and getting finances a bit more organised.
Was up about 8am today to finish wrapping a few presents and give the house a clean. Luckily we don't really have to entertain this year as at DH family for Xmas Day and my family are now not coming from down south as the weather is too bad to leave the horses and cats for someone else to look after. Did see them last weekend and we had a big family get together at the end of November down there.
Everything is now done and all the pressies are organised ready to pick up and go. Saw DH dad and his family last night, off to a childrens carol service with my godson tonight.
Just going to jump in the shower and relax for the rest of the afternoon.
Merry Christmas to all xx0 -
if DS isn`t put to bed early tonight it will be a Christmas miracle:mad:
I used to love Christmas in the days before I knew what autism was:o

afternoon all --its great to hear that all the prep is coming to an end and i am sure you will all have a great day tomorrow!
İ sent Mrs De off to the shops a few hours ago to buy an artificial tree for the office and a few liras for presents-in true OS spirit- i made sure she didnt get her hands on my credit card! they are all in her name but i pay 2 out of 4--which aint bad! i think we are having secret santa in the office tomorrow which i turned up trumps in by choosing my DDs name--so i can kill 2 birds with one pressie!--i am getting into the swing of this OS life!
This December i have been shopping twice and bought myself a computer and a flat screen tv for xmas and nothing else--our home food shopping bill so far has been less than November so we are doing well.
İ might treat the girls in my life with a meal out on Xmas day if i have the energy after a full days work---think of us teachers slogging away on xmas day as you tuck into your wonderful fayre!
İ hope santa brings you lots of xmas cheer --i wish i was there!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -

We are having that too :T.
All done here by lunch time, just need to put the turkey in the sc later on, have even set the table, OH is out with the dog, and dd is upstairs wrapping her presents, going to relax now in front of the tv, and maybe have a nap later.
Have good evenings all xx0 -

Afternoon everyone,
All sorted here, just DS2 and I going to friends for christmas dinner which will be nice. DD in Oz and DS1 and GF gone to visit. a bit strange this year but everyone safe and well.
Very cold here still, no water upstairs and no hot water anywhere - the pipe must be frozen somewhere. Not too worried except that the washing machine wont go either. Still, it's christmas and we shouldn't be doing washing anyway!
Have a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS everyone, hope your families are safe and well.
Take care. XX :xmassign:0 -
Just popping in to let you all know you're safe - nice easy trip to Kent, so I won't be visiting any of you. Not this year, anyway.
Best wishes to everyone.

NPM - I really feel for you I support children with Autism in mainstream school and I know from chatting with parents what a nightmare it is at this time of year. Hope you get through it ok.
Bramble1 - so sorry you feel so poorly. Hope you recover quickly and manage to enjoy at least some of thr festive season.
