  • Morning All,

Ooh I am all excited, thanks from me too for all the festive songs Tru, its been lovely :D Thanks too to Bitsy and NPM for the youtube links - my house was in fits yesterday at the singing animals especially!

Only BIL's pressie to pick up, I will run out and do that shortly, I know what and where so no hassles :) Unfortunately, DH has been really ill overnight with his cold /chesty thing, and I think when I finally prise him out of bed, we may be making a visit to the walk in clinic. I have also wakened with a new cold and sore ears :rotfl: But its Christmas tomorrow so I don't care really! :p I have taken some ibuprofen and I have some antibiotics in the cupboard which I've started taking just in case.

Plans for the day are cleaning and catching up, so that we can sit and relax from 5pm onwards. I need to do bread for tomorrow and prep the dinner, which I will enjoy doing this afternoon.

I hope your OH gets to work safely Hester.

Stay safe everyone, and enjoy your Christmas Eve, if I don't manage back on, I hope you all have a wonderful day with your families and loved ones tomorrow. :)

morning all :jHappy Christmas eve :D

Got loads of cooking done yesterday:

made profiterole cases, caramel sauce for some of these as OH prefers this, 1 x lime cheesecake 1 x choc cheesecake, a cauli brocoli and leek cheese for the veggies, 12 yorkshire puds, and I prepped all the veg which is in bags in the fridge, I also made some veggie gravy from the cauli water. I was shattered last night :rotfl:

    Anyway today I want to:

Peel the spuds (OH can do this).
    Hoover top to bottom (OH)
Whip up cream for profiteroles (me)
Make choc sauce for profits (me)
Move table from study put it with the one in conservatory (oh)
    Iron table cloths (dd)
    Set table (me and dd)
    Make stuffing (me)
Set SC up to come on in early hours, and put Turkey in (me)

Think that might be it for today, want to relax later of with a glass of something

Need to get the dog out too.

Have fun all and take care xx

    Morning all:j:j
Cold here, snow still on the ground.

Well we got the rest of the shopping done yesterday so we are fully stocked. But whats the better that we will end up having to go out to buy some more stuff in only a few days time;)

We had a sainburrys take away curry for dinner last night it was 9:30 by the time we sat down to eat. Then there was this crying and shouting of mummy! mummy! Twin one had beeen sick in her bed:eek: So to cut a long story short by the time we had delt wth that and both twins were fast asleep again it was close to 10:30 by the time we sat down a again thank God for microwaves:T:T

House clearning will be going on here today the twins are here all day with us so that should be fun.

My cold seems better but twin one is still coughing.

We need to get all the twins christmas stuff here for them later as its sped all about family. We are going to try and do it when they have gone to bed tonight. We still have stuff to wrap up for people but that will have to wait untill the twins afternoon nap.

Well i hope that you have a great cristmas eve everyone
    Enjoy:j:j
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
    Morning my lovelies :D
Feeling festive today, going to a Cristingle service hopefully at 4pm today so that should really boost the festivities. Not a church go-er or indeed a believer BUT I love Christmas and for all that it stands.
This is my all time favourite carol which I think sounds best when sung by a choir

Plans for today are to do a little bit of cleaning and tidy round. And that's it. I've got no prep to do for Christmas day as we're going to my mums :o
Spent half the night coughing mind.......am going to drug myself silly tonight as I really need some sleep.
So I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Christmas and I hope those of you who are poorly or have poorly loved ones have as good a day as possible.
Enjoy yourself <raises a cup of coffee> Cheers

  • Morning all I managed to get all theironing done and the kitchen and bathroon deep cleaned, plus a swish around the sitting room yesterdayI only hvae a mound of sausage rolls to make this morning I put a big vat of leek and tattie soup on last thing last night before bed in my SC so I have just checked and its all done I only have to give it a good go through the food mixer then it will be bagged up for the freezer.Didn't want to waste tatties or leeks as I am away for most of the next few days between my DDs houses.
I do hope everyone here has a wonderful Christmas with not too many disasters, and will see you all when I return.
I watch the carol service last night from the Chase Childrens hospice on t.v. and it was lovely, makes me feel very lucky for my brood. The children were amazing and they had grins the size of Texas when they saw Father Christmas.
Well time to get a wriggle on to get the last few odds and sods sorted
    Happy Christmas everyone
