  • Morning all

Hope all the poorlies get better soon!

I had a tiny lie in of an extra hour this morning which was nice. It's a beautifully sunny day here so may venture out for a walk later.

    Today I need to:

    - Prep all veg for tomorrow
    - Make a nut roast and a lentil pie for tomorrow
    - Tidy, clean and hoover the flat (won't take long as it's not too bad!)
    - Change bedding
    - Get table ready for tomorrow

My Christmas tree looks very festive :xmastree:, but I'm not feeling very Christmassy yet :(. I'm going to put the music channels on for some festive tunes and maybe watch some Christmas movies whilst I do all my jobs.

I'm meant to be going to my old local pub for a drink with friends tonight but there are no confirmed plans and I'm not sure how the roads will be. The buses aren't running there so that's not a good sign so I'm not sure if I want to risk it for a glass of diet coke! :rotfl: I'll decide later today.

OS wise (other than my list!) - WM has been on, DW will go on shortly, lunch will be a freezer meal.

Have a fab Christmas Eve all

    Morning All,
DP finally made it home from Wigan with all the kids at 11o'clock last night:j so now the weather can do what it likes:D
Had forgotten how hard it is to get on with little ones hanging off you:eek: glad I got so much done yesterday now.
Kids have asked for chips & sauce for tea! sounds like a plan maybe with a bit of gammon & an egg for the grown ups;)

Would just like to wish everyone A Merry Christmas now, as I have a feeling that from now on in my time will not be my own :rotfl:

Take care, keep warm & enjoy the festivities x

  • Hi Guys!

Have missed posting the last few days due to coming down with bad flu. The GP has been out twice to see me and put me on anti-biotics for 7 days and the nurses are checking on me twice daily to check my lungs as I have a nasty cough to go along with it, so difficult to eat much. Apparently I have to let them know if my breathing gets worse or my sats go down, but the nurses are doing all that.

Luckily, I got our Xmas delivery with Ocado Tuesday PM using a £15 voucher off, but had to spend £90 for a Xmas delivery, so got some extra poultry and meat that were on special and lots of goodie. The delivery was slightly late, so they waived the £9.99 charge:D OH popped down to Mr M last night as we needed milk and bread which they couldnt fill in the shopping and they had packs of 4 chicken breasts reduced to 9p, which will easily make 3 large curries padded out with lentils, veg etc:j:j...also the milk was down to 6p for 1litre (organic) so he bought 10 and we have frozen them. As he saved so much money on food he wasnt supposed to be getting anyway, he treated us to a film on Blu Ray we wanted and on special....so we watched that last night.

Think we are ordering a curry later and I have got a HUGE organic chicken I bought a few weeks back reduced to £2.00, so that will be eaten then frozen or made into curries/muck muck then frozen for further meals. As usual it's just the 3 of us tomorrow and we will do a plate for next door neighbour with some buffet stuff for Boxing day. Always get him a little tipple to go with it. He's a quiet old boy and grateful he's a good neighbour. Have got a few things prepared to make it easier for me and helps me feel like ive done something:o...so we have: chicken, roasties, mash, sprouts, parsnips, pigs in blanket, hm yorkies, stuffing, braised cabbage and peas. All leftover veg will be bubbled Boxing day.

There has been a lot of family problems going on here and I have had to find a solicitor who I will be meeting with in the New Year as its getting ridiculous and I dont need to handle all the stress by myself.

Twink-Thanks for Xmas card which we received yesterday it was lovely but had been opened.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Xmas.

    Morning all,

    Merry Christmas :santa2::xmassign::beer:

Only 1 hour until Santa gets here. :D I don't think I'll stay up. DH was watching a movie on TV but has just turned it off. Good, as I'm tired. It's pouring down with rain and there's flooding in lots of places in the state. I hope Santa has his rain coat on. :D

Been busy today doing the usual prep work cooking for tomorrow. It's all done so let the feast begin. ;) Hope you all have an enjoyable day tomorrow and remember the diet starts next year. :D

    Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hello All

This is my favourite day:j. Had to be at the surgery for a wound check and dressing change this morning. It was icy and there had been a bump didn't look too bad but road closed in one direction. Not what anyone needs at anytime especially today:(. Nurse said healing well but very bruised and swollen, don't I know it! anyway dressing changed and can now have a bath:).

Popped into Mr T's for a few bits, it wasn't really too busy, a girl I know who works there said it had been mad yesterday and quieter than expected today. Got to the checkout and went for a sit down as I started feeling a bit overwhelmed, DH packed and paid, now taking it easy at home. House tidyish and cleanish, it will have to do. DH now delivering to sisters house - we are having a family party there tomorrow but we all provide things for the buffet tea and organise a game.

Just got veg to prepare, I'm sat with a box of Thorntons supervising. Expecting visitors later for a quick visit. DD is working 4-8pm then we are having a late tea of cheese and biscuits, dips, pies etc

Have a lovely day everyone, take care if venturing out. Rest up Molly and hope all the poorlies start to feel better.
