Hi All!
A weekend of no work...feels odd and will take some getting used to!
Well, have been a good girl and using the Wii quite a bit, not had a great couple of days in regards to food but been good today :A. My best friend came round last night at 5pm and didn't leave till gone 10! I hadn't seen her since August so we had lots to catch up on. I reckon she is going to be pregnant by the end of the year. She has gone back on the pill but isn't very good at taking it :rotfl:, her boyfriend knows this and has said it's not a problem if she falls pregnant! She is 33 now and I think she feels like time is running out so I reckon it's on the cards!
Took car for MOT yesterday and not surprisingly, it failed . The annoying bits are that it's costing £220 and it's all because of the drive way to where I work, it is covered in potholes cos no one will take responsibility for it. Every MOT for the last 3 years I have had to replace suspension related bits, my boss is aware of this and he knows how angry I am. They can't do it till tomorrow morning either so I'm going to have to book some leave, double .
Took my mum to get her glasses yesterday and booked myself in for next week as I want to move to contact lenses so have to have a special appointment. The eye test is £29 (but I am sure I can reclaim it from work) and the len fitting is £59. It's a lot but I would rather it be done properly and get the most of it! Needless to say I have had to dip into savings this month but hopefully next month will be much better!

Hi hun
Big boo to the MOT failure
I used to wear contacts before having my eyes lasered. I had the extended wear ones that you put in for a whole month, sleep in them, shower in them, everything, then at the end of the month pop in a new pair! So much less hassle than dailies or normal monthlysLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Hey you,
Sorry to hear about MOT - cars are so frustrating and expensive! I wear contacts and glasses, just have daily throw aways as only really use them for nights out, days out etc and wear my glasses most of the time.
Glad you are still enjoying the Wii - it's addictive! I can't want to feel better so I can start running again. We did managed a nice walk on south downs today, not too far from the church we are getting married, was lovely
Woo woo - where did you go to get your eyes lasered?? How was it? Something i've often thought about, obviously once debt free!!!

Hi Choc
I had my eyes done with Ultralase in Clifton, Bristol (they have lots of branches I think).
They are not the cheapest and I went for the middle option at £4k. I choose them as you get a lifetime guarantee and they made me feel comfortable.
I went in for the treatment unable to see the surgeon and immediately after I could see him, amazing! I was very luckily and had no side affects other than slightly blood shot eyes, a small price to pay!
It is the best money I ever spent and I have no regrets at all! When you first have it done it's like seeing everything in HD!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Will reply more indepth tomorrow but just had a text from my friend who I saw on Saturday to say that she told the landlord of the pub she works at (I worked there for a few years but left 2 years ago) that I am no longer working at the Black Horse and he is apparently very interested in having me back there for a while! :j
I used to get £50 for 7pm til 11.30 so better hours than my old job and much ncier people to work for...did say at the weekend I wished I had never left! Not sure if/when yet but she will let me know as he needs to speak to one of the other staff as I get the feeling she wants to stop for a while.
Interesting!
