That's kind of the way I am looking at it. I want to lose weight and chill out more at the weekends so this is the perfect opportunity. I will have courses again in March then holiday so it's not all bad. I am a little sad though that it might mean pushing back Thailand although it heavily depends on this years bonus.
Just a small lotto win would do!

Oooh I forgot to tell you all...
I am going to see a clairvoyant tomorrow night for a reading! :rotfl:. I've never had one before although I seem to come up a lot in other peoples?! I can't say I believe in it but I am open minded, my mum had one years ago and had a friend take notes for her and it's actually spooky how much was accurate.
I'll be sure to post as much as I can so we can see if anything comes true etc!

I know a lot of people who have used them, I don't have a particular reason for going, I'm just curious I think! The only person who has passed away recently was my grandad two years ago so not sure if anything will be said.
A friend of mine said she would love to have a reading done but wouldn't because she thinks she would take it too seriously and actively try to make certain things happen and that by doing so she would 'distort what was supposed to happen', I argued that perhaps she was always supposed to have the reading to make those things happen :rotfl:, it was a very deep and confusing conversation!
It is supposedly a mix of clairvoyance and tarot and is only £20 for the hour, I've seen this gents name advertised at local psychic fairs so he has been doing it a while. There is also no bad press about him on the net so I guess it's a start!

Hi Jody - found ya!
Great new title etc, sorry re christmas not being the best and losing your job, but glad you can see the positive from that at least.
I know I'm alone in this and my friends that have been all think I'm mad, but I HATED Thailand! I travelled to Bangkok for 3 days which I found far to chaotic for me - hot, smelly, noisy and the begging really upset me. In fairness it was probably in part as both me and BF were unwell, so perhaps not in the best of moods to enjoy! Then flew to Koh Samui which I thought was OK, but I far preferred Cuban beaches (which was a fraction of the price too :-) ). I absolutely loved the food in Thailand though, and the hotel itself was absolutely amazing - gorgeous luxury! Also, I got some gorgeous dresses and suits made up for a fraction of the cost I'd have paid here which was a treat.
Anyway, best get on now, catch you soon though

I still fancy Thailand but I am just worried I will get there and wish I had gone to the Maldives instead :rotfl:.
Had a play around with my budget today and the positive side is that I think I can manage perfectly well without the pub, downside is that I can't save anywhere near what I was hoping to but I am almost certain I can put away around £175 a month so am revising my target to £700 accordingly but I may have to take my car insurance out of it, we will see.
Must get car booked in for MOT as well

That's not so bad Jody - you sound like you can do with a break and perhaps in a few months with batteries recharged if you still feel you'd like a bit more you fan find another job, but one without the hassles of the last place
