I save mine to buy christmas presents, but then I don't get very many anyway!

Think you have to book the reward for them or something. Think you can expect about half - so reward value £400 sell for £200.

I don't think I live there! That's about 18 months worth so far but I always make sure I use my extra points vouchers etc.
It would be nice to have £500 worth towards a holiday but it still might not be that much use as you can normally find the holidays elsewhere cheaper!

Friend of mines parents have the tesco credit card too which they pay off each month in full, apparently lots of clubcard points. They save all of theirs up towards their cruise each year.....it's def researching into hols as I know a lot of people that use them towards that x0 -
HI Choc! Someone at work does that, he puts everything on his credit card and then pays it all off, I can't get a credit card unfortunately and OH just refuses to use one for day to day bits, his only gets used for holidays or big purchases (which don't happen very often) which is a shame.
Got home last night and he had done the washing up and cleaned the side and hob which I was grateful for, at least he seems to be trying.
I am glad it is almost payday, am looking forward to budgeting again and getting back into the swing of things. Will update my sig with my savings totals and targets this month and see how I do. I've got £171 left in the bank which is a bit of savings that I took out and some normal money left, I need to tax the car with it which is £113, I have a haircut which will be £30 and then I will put what's left towards OH's meal which we moved to this Sunday. That way it gives me a clean month to start with!

Cheers Becs, am starting to realise how much extra headroom I had when I was working in the pub! Never heard anything else about the other pub job unfortunately and I am not sure I can face going back to it just yet
.
Do you give yourself 'spending money' each week? How much do you allow if you do? My current budget is set up to give me £60 per week but that is too include petrol which can range from £25-£30 or thereabouts, I thought £30/£35 should be fine. I expect some weeks I will hardly touch it but then others I will use more than the weekly allowance if that makes sense?

My budget probably only works for me as I pay in extra money 2 - 3 times a week cause of pub/cleaning money.
At the beginning of the month my money for rent/bills and direct debits for CCs etc all transfers to another account so I don't have to worry about what dates things come out.
Then anything over £100 I pay off debts so that I have a £100 buffer left. Anytime I pay in more money so that I have more than a £100 I pay the difference of debts. If I spend money going out etc and go below £100 I wait till I've paid more money in taking me back over the £100 before I pay any more off debts.
I don't have a specific spends budget as some months I go out more than others etc.
Just always try and spend as little as possible!
Hope that makes sense - but think it's probably a bit of a weird way of doing things that only works as I pay money in regularyDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
I think I understand Becs, guess it is a little bit easier when you have a stream of money rather than a once a month job!
I can't see that I would need more than that, I normally meet someone for dinner once or twice a month but we always do harvester so it's never more than £10. I also brought back quite a bit of tobacco from holiday so won't need to buy any for quite a while yet which will help
