Hi Jtr, just read some of your diary and wanted to come and say hello! I would love to go to the Maldives, I bet it was amazing!
I think you and I have about the same amount of debt outstanding so it would be great to keep up with your diary to see how you are doing - and it would motivate me too!! I'm at £4626 at the moment, but have just gone onto statutory maternity pay this month, which basically means what I would normally get for a days wages I am now getting for a week, so a pretty huge drop, albeit only temporary.
Am trying to find other ways of raising money while on leave but so far ebay etc haven't really made me much, the odd £10 here and there.
Will subscribe to your diary and keep in touch!0 -
Hi CWC82! Welcome along , if you were born in 82 then you will be the same age as me (and probably dreading the big 3-0!).
Well, I just had to have a bit of a battle with T-Mobile . I got a text and it said my bill for this month was £32, I knew it would be a little higher as I sent my mum some texts from the Maldives and I also picked up a voicemail from an unknown number which wasn't even for me, double . Anyway, when I logged into my account, I was being charged £10 for the whole voicemail thing , the way it is shown on the statement it looks like I have been charged £5 just for that idiot leaving me the message, then I got charged £5 for picking it up! The guy kept telling me I must have called it twice but I was sitting here with my phone and the call history in front of me and I knew I hadn't. After I got a bit het up he agreed to refund me £5, so the bill is now £27 which is a bit more manageable.....and breathe!

Thanks! Lol yes I was a '82 baby too - can't actually believe that the big 3-0 is approaching! I will be thirty by the time I get married!! Could have been married before my birthday, but to get the venue we wanted we had to sacrifice on date!!
Thats better than the whole £10 with the mobile phone bill - such a pain tho! Definately a stress creator, although I always feel a little bit smug when I get off the phone if I have managed to negotiate some money off something!
I'm off to the post office with a few ebay items that I have to post before picking my DD up from Nursery.

I think I must be on a roll today :j
I checked my clubcard statement last week and thought I was missing some points from a winter promotion they did. I actually found the email with the details and checked and nope, not recieved the extra points.
Gave the clubcard helpline a call and she said it isn't normal to do it but she would add the 400 points I haven't been awarded and then give me an extra 100 for the inconvenience. They should go on my statement shortly so am very happy with that. I think I have a total of about £111 in clubcard points now which we could convert into £335 of reward vouchers, I am trying to save them towards a holiday I think!
