    What a boring 4 hours!! 4 hrs worked @ £5.93 ph
£7.13 spent in tesco on milk, bread, custard, rice pudding (the last two were on offer 5 for £2 so saved £1.50 there) and condensed milk (a luxury for oh that he wouldnt ordinarily have if i was on my own)

better make some tea now and have a scan over my CV ready for the job hunt to commence tomorrow.

What sort of jobs are you going to look for? Do you need to work full time or would part time give you the income you need? I know that sometimes the savings made by working part time and being able to shop/cook more econimically can outweigh working full time.

(a mini rant - sorry) I've never seen the appeal of Next clothes (or any of their homewares to be honest), I know a friend swears that they're the only clothes that she'll buy because they last......they then send through the new catalogue, she buys more stuff and the other stuff gets pushed to the back of the wardrobe......that's why it lasts, it's never worn! It always amazes me the amount of people that queue or spend hundreds in their sales......I just don't get it. Maybe there's something I'm missing?

Enjoy your new Red diary, I love that feeling of writing in a brand new book. :T

  • The thought had crossed my mind Beanie :)

Pooky - you could have read my mind, I really dont see the appeal. The skirt I had is the only item in the whole of the store that I liked, they have a few nice jumpers in for OH, but he had one for xmas and doesnt really wear them anyway.

In an ideal world I would love to work part time, my seasonal job I had and loved (but left for the disastrous job because everyone around me said I had to) was ideal for me, the hours were great, unfortunately the money wasnt. I really need full time but I dont want to work shifts (I get really depressed having to go to work when I know oh is at home, ridiculous I know) so I'm on the hunt for something I enjoy, that pays well, but is (for the most part) Mon-Fri 9-5. Don't want much do I??!!

Oh and did I mention I only spent £2 today, switched my ISA to a better one, and changed my barclays account to a free one :)

Morning. I have just suscribed to your diary, i think you're doing well and i'm impressed by the small things you have done which i think will lead to big differences. It's about changing your mindset and sticking to it! Well Done and keep going :)
