Climbing out of the hole I call home!!! Lizzie's 2011 Diary :)

OK so I know it's not quite 2011 yet, but given todays events I feel I need to start this diary right now, and write in it every single day come hail rain or shine to keep myself motivated as I make my way through the challenging next 12 months.
As I stand today, Thursday 23rd December 2010, my wonderful amazing dad has just paid off my horrible stupid Natwest overdraft to the tune of very nearly £2,500 and I desperately want to be able to pay him back although I know he wont expect it.
I owe very nearly £1000 on my credit card because I'm a fool and I decided it was a good idea to pay for most of Christmas on it!!
I owe my mum/grandma £1500 from what feels like a million years ago when I was stupid and skint at uni which again I know they dont expect to see again but I would love to pay them back.
And then there is my equally amazing other half, to whom I owe at least £3000 for things we bought for the new house when we moved in and the bills that he pays most of on a daily basis because I'm so poor, he needs to see more money coming from me or its just not fair.
When it comes to bank accounts etc, I have the Natwest one that is now redundant and will be closed in the new year along with the student mastercard with a zero balance that is attached to it. I have a Barclays account that they made me open when I worked there to have my wages paid into, but since I dont work there anymore, that will also be closed in the new year, but as it stands it has about £25 in to cover the acc fee if it comes out before I get to close it, and a £10 overdraft facility. It also has an empty savings account attached to it which will also be closed as I have absolutely no need for it.
My main account is my Lloyds account, which is the account I live out of, and it has two savings accounts attached to it, one which recieves the standing orders from my main account for gas, elec, water and car tax, which I pay into monthly, and the other has in any money I make from Avon or other extra cash not from my main wages.
However, I am currently very nearly unemployed. So things are very very tight, and this needs to be fixed.
I have two main aims of this diary, to monitor exactly what I spend and why I spend it, and to log every effort I am making to find a job, as I now need to make my full time job finding a job.
Day one is today, and todays spends look like this
2x sausage rolls @ shopping = £2
4x Yankee Candle Tarts = £3.66
So I dont think we have done too badly.
That said, I still need to buy a CD for my mums Christmas present tomorrow and we need to buy some food as the cupboards are looking quite bare and we have visitors on boxing day.
Time to go now, I think I've rattled on enough. If you've got this far you deserve a medal so thankyou very much.
Lets hope my positive mental attitude is still intact for day two!!

OK Day Two
I personally have spent:
£15 on food for Boxing Day at Iceland
£7 on a wreath for the Cemetery for tomorrow, and that is me done.
However collectively as a couple we have also spent
£50something pounds in Morrisons on food and two CDs (presents)
And my OH bought his brothers card but I'm not sure how much that was.
And we put £15 of fuel in my car.
I plan on spending absolutely nothing tomorrow and hopefully Sunday too.
On the plus side, I have been paid for the 8 hrs work I have done as a Christmas Temp which I wasnt expecting so thats an extra £38.04and I have at least one more shift there on Monday 5-1 and hopefully Tuesday aswell so thats a little bit extra.
I havent done any job hunting today, but we have been out all morning, OH isnt feeling well, so I'm off out with my mum to fetch my grandma in a bit, hopefully he will rest while I'm out and be feeling better by tomorrow.
Oh and I also sold one of my sisters cards, so that is £4 into the card fund. Woohoo!!
And I think that is it for today, Merry Christmas Everybody xxxxxxx0 -
I have also just given mum £2 for euromillions, fingers and toes crossed for the winning ticket
