Chel - oh dear - it always goes from bad to worse. Our tree hasn't even got lights on it, because we found the lights but not the plug power pack thingy. No twinklies for us this year - I went into Wilko's to see if they were half price yet, but may be next week. Reagrding the Cello - I think there is some you heat to shrink wrap, but the ordinary stuff doesn't do that. Either lay the box on top, and scrunch it up to a bunch on the top, and tie it with ribbon, or lay it over the top and sellotape it underneath (that's what I did last year). HTH

Michelle - Blimey hun. What on earth where you reviewing? I've been putting on two a day, I'd best up my game a bit. Well done you. :D

Legend - don't beat yourself up - I still forgot too. :( I was rating until about 10.20, and then I went to bed, and read my book for a bit (so I have something else to review LOL) Totally forgot about it.

Rufus - busy busy busy - well done on the reviews. :)

Michelle - I've just checked they added my candy grabber one OK, but they messed up another suggestion, so I'll have to go hunting for something for my second review now. :(

    all weird
  • Afternoon all, managed to get up early today so went out to the shops, forgot everything I needed to do but did a quick tesco run and stocked up on cheap cadburys chocolate, dormans nuts 1p a pack and some Christmassy bits.

Get your s&s in now if you havent already, receipts must be in by midnight on Sunday but receipts aren't processed until a day later so you actually can submit up until midnight on Mondays but the wont tell you that.

Aww Chel sounds like it's all happening at once hun. Hope it all pans out well and that the car doesn't need fixing, could well be down to the weather. My electrics weren't working a week or so ago (me panicing I couldn't lock the car, duh!!) but it worked fine later that evening. I put it down to the cold. I have a repair for around £400 coming up if buy the part needed myself, hoping it can be put off until the MOT is due again but it is a ball joint so not something I can actually ignore for long :(

Well done on reviews Rufus, Michelle, Elysia and everyone else, can't get my head into the game on that one anymore, we have loads of toys to review but the last thing I want to do when I go to relax in the evening is be reviewing the toys my dd has been playing with noisily all day lol.

Must make cards and wrap cards later, and must must must not forget to take some pictures for Christmas presents, it's not too late to order photos this week is it?

I should think you should be ok with the photo gifts Savvy - everyone worries about getting them in time for Christmas, so no-one is ordering. There are lots of voucher codes floating around because it's quiet. I should do them sooner rather than later though.

I got those Dormen Nuts too - they're delicious. Well done on everything else.

  • I've been so lucky with this promo. I have about 13 pages of reviews on dy, and loads of them have been books and toys. Then when I go and add stuff, so many things have been first reviews. It was

I spotted loads of things we own without reviews, so it will just be if I actually have time to get some new stuff written too, as I have been adding 3 or 4 a day just from old stuff. I'm at over £100 on cha as well, so really looking forward to pay day there. I've been working my socks off, and really looking forward to the break.

Savvy - know totally what you mean about not wanting to review kids stuff when they are in bed. I am really pushing myself to do it. It is so easy to say stuff it. In fact I took a couple of hours off last night. Just couldn't force myself any more. I was still there knitting presents while we watched a film, but it felt better.

  • Hey Claire, nice to see you back... seen your reviews and wondered if you was going to pop in!

Well done everyone on chow, michelle sounds like you are doing fab. I went over £50 this morning on there so mega happy with that, just feeling too sluggish to write :( I've been keeping track of recent ratings received and ratings given and theres a HUGE difference, I'm giving double the ratings than I have given back... must keep trying while the double ratings promo is on then I'm defo going to change the way I rate!!

Well done everyone getting ready for xmas, I really must start wrapping more pressies... I've only done DDs stocking fillers so far!

    Evening all

Hi Claire, nice to see you here again xx

I have had a couple of surveys this afternoon, one while I was at my Dad's and I checked my emails, then another one just now. I have two more in there but they will have to wait until tomorrow now.

I have been busy since I got in, got my last chair stripped and varnished so it can dry off over night so hopefully I can get it finished tomorrow then I just have to stick on the braid and they will all be done and we can have a good old clear up in the dining room and get it looking like a proper dining room instead of a work room.

I have been reading back through my posts and you can tell where I have posted when dd has been jumping all over me or been distracting me! Apparantly I am wrapping cards later lol

Sorry didn't mean to ignore you bunbun, my birthday is Wednesday but being so close to Christmas I feel so guilty having a day to celebrate me when everyone else is in Christmas mode, so I go with the flow and focus on Christmas as it's nicer when everyone gets to join in and enjoy it too :) Have a great day on Friday hun and make sure you do something lovely to celebrate.

I have been sat making cards, I have only managed three and it's taken two hours. I enjoyed it but having some serious lack of creativity with the card that is candy cane stiped diagonally. We need 12 cards and have four of the candy cane backgrounds! I put photos on my blog, but really need to crack on with wrapping now.

Well done on getting the chairs stripped, I bet they will look great when they are finished Rufus.

Lovely to see you claireylulu, how are you getting on with the festive preps?

  • Getting there savvybunny doing my last bit of shopping on Friday always like to go into town get a few last bit right near Christmas makes it feel real christmasy.

Having the same problem cornish.chick with the return rates all I seem to be doing is rating and hardly getting any in return. Always find C is bad for getting rates compared to Dy don't think the new layout is helping either.
Posting a lot of my old reviews across at the moment.
