Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Quick update from me. I am really enjoying the 8 pm bingo though I can't chat, post on the forum and keep an eye on my game (even though I am playing on auto) at the same time! You lot make me laugh so really cheers me up. I managed to redeem as well! Now that I'm back at work I don't know if I'll be able to do every day but will certainly give it a go.

I'm trying to do a few surveys every day as well but don't know how long that will last. Could someone send me the Toluna list as I would be happy to reply to opinions. I'm josp48 on Toluna.

I've picked out a few things for Ebay but haven't listed them yet - that's at least a start!

    Have a nice weekend everyone!:):)

    Hi and welcome Bev :D

Kec09 - I hope your migraine is going now. I used to get them a lot, thankfully now I only get 2-3 really bad ones a year. Have you tried the cooling patches that you stick on your forehead? As soon as I feel a migraine coming on I take 2 paracetamols and stick a cooling thingy on my head, it nearly always takes it away.
I think they're the best thing ever and tell everyone about them :D

I'm sorting things ready to put on Ebay tomorrow. Even though I had A HUGE sort out before we moved house 3 months ago, I've still managed to find loads of stuff to Ebay. How do I have so much stuff???!! I guess it's good though as hopefully I'll make a few quid.

I agree that watching your items on Ebay is addictive. I get quite a buzz from seeing my things get bids and watchers!

I think I've sent messages to everyone who asked for the T'luna usernames, if I missed you please let me know.

Its starting to ease a bit now thank you. I do know about the cooling patches and I do have some but nothing really does much for me.
I suffer chronic headaches and migraines and have been in pain every day. I have had every migraine/headache medication from the docs, they sent me to CBT and councilling and then puti me on anti D's. HAve been to hospital as well and had tests and scans etc but nothing has helped me :(
A few months ago I had had enough and couldn't go on any longer so looked into alternative therapies and started having acupuncture which has really helped me. It is so expensive though and its just adding to my debt so I haven't been for 3 weeks and am really starting to suffer again now, its a vicious circle I don't know what to do for the best and am just trying to live with it at the moment.

With regards to ebay stuff I'm not sure how we all end up with so much either!
Aiming to completely pay off the credit card in 2012!

Sorry If I duplicate anything as I’m writing this in Word, as I read through the posts.
Giggles – well done on Shopping.com. You did brilliantly. What did you find to review. LOL. I’ve done it twice now and really struggled. I even emailed Stuart to ask how do suggest products to add, so you can review them, but he didn’t answer.
Right it 8.20. See you all at BP in a mo. xxx

I message him on facebook rather than through the email. For the first 100 it took me quite a while but because there was a list of the top products I just worked my way down and reviewed everything I could. For the last few I had to rake through the list again to find stuff that I could review. When he did the second promo I suggested he add some more 'female' friendly items to the list that could be reviewed as the top products was mostly electrical and I felt that women do check review sites for toys and make up. So when he sent out the info for the next promotion he included some other categories that you would review which included the kids (games, toys etc) category so that was my 50! That took a little longer as I had to scroll through the category to find ones you could review (whereas with the top products one you could review each product you clicked on) but as you had to do half the number of reviews for the same amount of money it worked out about the same.

Hi everyone, thought I'd come out of occasional lurking and join you all if thats ok :)

I'm Kay, 29, new mum to my gorgeous little boy who's succeeding in keeping his mummy very busy! I've tried to read through the thread but not really getting very far but i've read the first 3 pages and about the last 10 so have some kind of idea whats going on!!

Since starting to read this on Thursday, I've joined all survey and cashback sites on post #2 as well as pinecone and mumsurvey.

Have to admit though that i've been a member of t'luna for years and still on less than 4000 points so im doubtful i'll ever make it to payout - especially when i take into account that it says 1000 of them expire on the 27th!!
NickyBo, I've pm'd you re adding me to the username list and sending me a copy, hope thats ok.

    Jan Challenge:

I'm not selling through ebay but I have started listing things for sale through facebook and gumtree ...can this count toward my £50 instead of ebay?
Have my seperate savings account for Christmas aka my sisters account cos that way Im def not getting the money back unless its for what I've specified to her it's for!
Haven't been shopping since I saw this thread but will be putting any savings in my jar :)
I joined the sealed pot challenge on another thread so I guess this counts?

Am off to try and get through a few more pages of the thread before bed, take care everyone x

I have a little pot not alot was offered £20 in one of those cash gold shops! Apparently you get more on Ebay? Been saving it for a rainy day but may aswell just get rid I think! If I save everything I wont have anywhere to sleep!

i might give you a run for your money should I ever get round to joining:beer:

i have listed 5 items on ebay tonight, never managed to sell anything before. I wanted to put a reserve price on them, but it would only let me put a minimum of £50 on there, I'm sure I was doing something wrong, but even if they only sell for £2.50 which is what I put as the starting price, it's £2.50 I didn't have before, and free up some space. it doesn't matter how very lovely they are (Kathy Van Zeeland handbags), if I never use them they are only gathering dust.

So if anybody wants bargainous handbags ........:rotfl:

Georgie - before they have bids on go back in and edit the price - as it's free listing day - if you want £50 each you can list them as £50 each and it won't cost you any extra. On other days you have to start at less than £1 to get free listing.

Please hurry - go into my ebay and selling, and edit.

Well done Naughty - welcome to the thread - you've done so well, reading and catching up. ;) Please join in often, we would love it.

You need to keep going with Toluna - as you've gathered the surveys are hit and miss, but there are other money making opportunities on there. You'll be at payout before you know it. :D

Ddraig - I've been reading about this sock monkey on the sock thread. How come you bought fabric, they are only made out of socks? LOL. Please post a pic so we can see.

Zangles - yes, there are free rooms on Costa and on cheeky bingo too (the prizes vary from £1 to £20 - but if you win, it's free money)

There's quite a lot of sites where you can play for free. I do it when I'm bored.

Sometimes I take all my winnings, and use that to play on the cash bingo - I've won quite a bit doing that. Sometimes I even redeem my bingo points for cash at cheeky or costa (5,000 is £5 bingo money) and have played and won with that. :D

Or if I've won a few times and I'm nearly at the cashout limit, I wait and withdraw the cash.

    Thank you

Well made a complete mess of that, but after talking to 2 ebay help agents via online chat, deleting the items and relisting I think they are sorted. Still bargainous but not as bargainous as they were before.

Going to sleep before I can get myseelf into an y more mischief

No you shouldn't have re-listed them. You just edit the price - I've done it before, mostly to lower the price if there's been no interest.

You didn't need to put a reserve on, if you wanted £100 - you put them on for £100 and then people bid upwards. The risk you take on a normal day is listing for 99p (to avoid ebay fees) and you hope and pray they go up - I've been caught out more than once.

I just hope you get some big bids now to cover the costs. :)
