  • How's everybody getting on with their ebay challenge? How have you found listing after Christmas? Did you get as much as you hoped or did you find it made no difference?

Slightly put off ebay now. Listed an item which in fairness is expensive but I put it at half the retail value at reserve and it was brand new sealed in box. Had five watchers and one question from a potential buyer, but didn't sell. Now I have to pay a £1.55 fee for an item I still have :( Decided to keep it as a present for hubby at christmas/birthday. On a brighter note I have made just over £50 profit on ebay and will complete mini challenge later by listing three items.

Can someone send me the list for tolun please so I can do your polls too?

Not spent anything today which is good, i am trying to do a repayment plan for our debts but i am useless with spreadsheets so i have asked on the debt free thread ;-)

    Hi,:hello:
I have just found this thread and would love to join please -it sounds just the thing I need to do this year.
I have loads to sell on ebay so need to get started on that and have sold stuff in the past but I am a complete newbie:eek: when it comes to surveys and haven't joined quidco etc yet:o

I've used boots, tesco and nectar points mostly to buy stuff and I have just done a list of all the people I need to buy for over the coming year and have listed their gift and price of it - all recent sales stuff (amazon beauty items and also book people bargains for kids parties) - so it's a start!!:T

Welcome to the thread Bev, please join in, you are most welcome.

First job for you - join quidco and/or topcashback.

Second thing is join some survey sites - lots are on the second post. The surveys are slow at the moment so you won't be inundated. ;) Either ask one of the members on here for a referal, or go through Quidco or TCB to join.

It's free listing this weekend on ebay, it's your choice, list while it's free for higher priced stuff, or ebay at your leisure and start the listings off at 99p (which is free anyway). Good luck in the challenge.

Any problems please don't hesitate to ask.

    Hi all
Not done much last few days, had a terrible migraine yesterday which I still have today so have not been able to do much.
Have just done a bit on T, answered a couple of surveys and quick polls and done a few of peoples polls and started opinions. I didn’t realise that you receive points for your opinion for over 80 words, I thought it was just the person that wrote the opinion that would get points so I will make mine longer from now on!
Got loads of stuff to list on ebay tomorrow, I know I won’t get it all on so I am going to start with things I want to start off at more than 99p as its free listing, I have over 200 items (yes I have way too much stuff!!) from just skimming the house, once I sort through everything properly I am sure there will be more.
Gemini hope you get your windscreen sorted soon, they are coming to do mine on Monday (hopefully!) Glad your dog is ok now and hope you get the insurance payout soon.
I don’t have a doggie it was actually one of my buns I had to take to vets on a Sunday. I have 2 pairs and a trio and one of the pairs chewed a hole in their shed wall through to the other pairs enclosure and attacked one of them who came off very badly with his nose hanging off and a bite on his face so he had to have GA and his face stitched up, it has healed beautifully now thank goodness. My bill was actually £363 and I don’t have insurance for the buns so the CC has taken the hit
Off to type up some ebay descriptions for tomorrow now :)
Aiming to completely pay off the credit card in 2012!

OMG kec - what a nightmare! I hope it's ok now and not too stressed by it all.

Take care - I hope your migraine feels better soon. Leave the listings and see if you feel better tomorrow. If you're not well, money making can wait. xxx

  • Good evening ladies, hope you've all had a good day. Just got rid of loads of the OHs family, cooked a lovely chicken pie and went down a storm. Yummy.

Did 5 posts on BP earlier so playing now and doing my other 5.

Does anyone else find that they're addicted to ebay the day before their listing end? I keep checking and getting really excited when it goes up by 20p or someone else watches my listing! I'm on £69 now, and I probably wouldn't have put anything up at all so thank you everyone x

Welcome along Bev - you're moving in the right direction! The challenges are on post 3 so get yourself involved with ebay and make the most of the free listing weekend. Choose a couple of survey sites (T'luna and Val Ops are perhaps a good couple to start with) and get used to doing surveys. As someone else on here said take baby steps - it's still another 50 weeks to Christmas!

Hello to anyone else who has joined us today x

    Elysia how's your OH now?
